Sunday late lunch. Busy but that's because it's good. It's not a cheap date but definitely worth going. Great atmosphere overlooking the lake and the chicken sandwich I had was excellent with good portions. Definitely will be back.

I recently made a 30-minute drive to Bass Bay Brewhouse, eager to enjoy their delicious fish fry. Unfortunately, while waiting at the bar, I encountered a customer openly using offensive and racist language. As a person of color, I was not only appalled but deeply enraged. After a brief exchange with this individual, I took my food and left, shaken by the experience.
Rather than immediately posting about what happened, I chose to contact the restaurant’s management. Their response was swift and decisive. Not only did they take my concerns seriously, but the owner personally reached out to me to address the situation. I was both surprised and impressed by their professionalism and their firm stance in ensuring that this racist individual would not be allowed back into the restaurant.
This experience could have easily kept me from ever returning, but the way Bass Bay handled it restored my trust. Their commitment to maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment speaks volumes. Beyond their fantastic food, their impressive service and beautiful location make them a restaurant worth supporting. I highly recommend Bass Bay Brewhouse—not just for their meals, but for their integrity.

Our son and his wife invited us to dinner, our first time dining there, atmosphere was great. We loved it! Food and service was good! After dinner we were talking, we don't see them very often. Then a women came to our table and basically said we had to leave because they needed our table for a large party, but we could go to the bar! The bar was packed, and noisy so that was not an option. We left!
I have worked in many fine restaurants and I would NEVER ask a table to leave. She could have told the other party that their table was not ready yet.
Because of this experience I will not recommend your restaurant nor visit again.

Great food. I highly recommend the poutine with either the cheese curds or fries. Ask about the "hand held chef special" the last visit was a pizza burger that was delicious. Had the French dip but the au jus wasn't that flavorful but the French onion soup was amazing and a 10/10.

A friend from work was planning to propose to his girlfriend at Bass Bay. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager, Sam. She offered to take pictures and gave me her cell phone number to keep her updated. When it was time, I was videoing and she came outside in the freezing cold to take pictures of them to be an extra level of support. Not only was it freezing outside, she was in a boot from a foot injury. It all happened so fast and she ran outside on her injured foot! Sam is an amazing human and manager! She's sending me the pictures she took today.
We've also eaten here several times and the food and atmosphere are always great!
It’s a great place for a date night, or with a small party. It’s not great for large group gatherings in my opinion, at least not in the dining room. The igloos are cool, the outdoor heated bar is excellent, right in the lake, great views of the weather is right, the food was good, not great, and the service was stellar.

Went here on a date and really enjoyed everything. Food was great (except for the trout spread 😉, our server will get this joke!). We sat indoors near the wood burning fireplace and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. We'll likely be back!
Vegetarian options: There are a few - salads, grilled cheese, some pasta.
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is at the ground level, wheelchairs shouldn't have a problem.

Made reservations for valentines day with my honey. Had a great experience, awesome waitress who was very engaging and funny, have great recommendations for food. Definitely coming back for the fried chicken with gravy. Kids at home ate some of our leftovers and wanted more. Very spacious with nice lake views.
