I arrived with a group of 4, we stood at an opening at the bar and waited for 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us while he chatted with others. We ordered 4 old fashioned but before we could specify whiskey sours the bartender turned around to make our drinks. They came out brandy sweets, that was fine, partially our own fault. We closed our tab, one person picking up all 4 drinks. When we asked to close the tab he said he wasn’t playing the open and close a tab game all night and this would be our last drink if we closed the tab. Has he never seen a group pay for separate rounds before? Would have it been better if we all had 4 open tabs separately? That bartender ruined our experience and I will not return.
