Wissota Chophouse - Neenah / Appleton

The Chophouse was a great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary with very attentive staff. We had delicious Seabass and Prawns with asparagus. Being treated to the raspberry tiramisu was better than any icing on a cake!! We enjoyed sharing our history with Wissota High Shores with our server,Cat!

Friendly and fun waitress with great recommendations. This was our first visit and Liv made it a memorable one. We definitely will come back or go to visit her in Stevens Point. Keep up the amazing work Liv!

Our food and drinks were outstanding! Wissota Burger and New York Strip. Our server Ben was fantastic and answered all questions and had everything to us in a timely manner. We booked our reservation for 5pm and it was quiet when we arrived.

We've been going here for years. The food and service have always been outstanding, but last night was disappointing. Our steaks were over salted so bad that my wife couldn't eat it. Brussel sprouts were under cooked. I'm hoping this was just an off night or maybe new cooks.

Inexperienced and inattentive staff. Food wasn't prepared properly, we waited 40 minutes after being seated to receive our drinks. Ribeye was amazing everything else on the menu has room for improvement.

What a treat it was to eat and drink at the Chophouse this past week! The friendly staff catered to our meeds and wants with ease and professionalism. I found the restaurant to be clean and neatly appointed with a wonderful painting of Randall, the Cow, who really added a sense of home for me. The spicy strawberry margaritas were expertly crafted and so tasty, as was the huge pretzel and deep dried olives. If you are visiting the Appleton, WI area, I highly recommend eating at Wissota Chophouse located in the Cobblestone Hotel and Suites near the Appleton airport!

Excellent experience at Wissota Chophouse Neenah for a celebratory anniversary dinner. It was a treat to see Bonnie, who we remember from the Stevens Point location, working the bar & our server John made it a memorable evening. We hear the chef is new, but he did a fantastic job. Huge, delicious wedge salad that was easy to split. Steaks cooked perfectly, creamy mushroom risotto, expertly made craft cocktails & a great wine selection. If you haven't tried the raspberry tiramisu, you are missing out!

It was a great meal with excellent service. The staff was very attentive and our food was served very quickly.

Very disappointed. We had reservations with friends for 5:00 pm at Wissota in Neenah. At 4:30, we received a text message canceling the reservation with little explanation. We had to scramble to save the evening. I don’t think I will return, and after bragging up Wissota to my friends, I doubt they will ever go there.

Food was good. Server was new and a bit awkward, but generally optimistic and helpful. Not sure, however, he had the best training to set him up for success. Learned the Chef quit the day before and a new chef was hired the day of our reservation, causing some concern. Steaks were great, as was the truffle bacon mac & cheese. Salads were brought to us mid-course of our stakes. Server offered to comp us the salads due to restaurant error. He came back and told us that his manager had nixed the comp for the salads, but that we could have two deserts if we wanted. That is not what we really wanted and had expected a comp on the salads. We were actually surprised that "management" did not support the judgement of the server. I travel to the area quarterly and came to Wissota Chophouse on the recommendation of a local colleague. My personal observation is that this is a rather pretentious restaurant, aspiring to be upscale, but which is clearly not. They are close with the food, but that is only part of the equation. There seem to be management issues and a clear lack of understanding as to how to "Create Value for the Customer." I will not go again, unless I give the one in Green Bay a shot sometime in the future.

Just absolutely delicious! WOW, just wow! It began with incredible and attentive service from "Owen D"-who is being transferred to another Wissota Chophouse. The food was delicious, that if it was polite to lick the dish clean, I would have. We had the charcuterie board, which was plenty for two. Follow by scallops and a filet with truffle fries and blue cheese risotto. And a few cocktails like the "Honey Deuce", which was served at the US Open. Just a fantastic evening and a great date night! Highly recommend and we will be back!

The food was excellent!! Our waiter was rather new, I believe, just a few rookie mistakes. The only thing that would add to the overall experience would be linen table cloths. We will be back for sure!!!

When we arrived for our 5:30 reservation we were the only table in the dining room, yet it took 10 minutes until our server came to our table. My wife had the caprese salad, which was good. I had the lobster bisque, which wasn't very flavorful. In fact, I couldn't detect any lobster. My wife had the small filet. The flavor was good, but it was overdone a bit. I had the ribeye and it too was flavorful, but was more medium than medium rare. Neither steak was overdone to the point we needed to send it back. Although dinner was good I didn't feel it was worth $143. We won't be back.

Steaks are moist and cooked perfectly, however the steaks were cool, the garlic potatos were pretty amazing. If you want steak try somewhere else and save your money, if you to say you've been here give it a try.
