We stumbled upon this place when we had an hour to burn before our dinner reservation and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of our weekend! Really great vibe - think Swiss chalet with live music, lots of happy people and an amazing beer/cider selection. Loved the self serve situation - very unique and it allowed me to try a few sips of many things until I settled on the one I wanted. Highly recommend!

We love this place.!! A very fun concept to serve yourself, which brings added convenience. But there are staff members there to help with food orders and any questions. Live music is a great added touch and you can bring your dog on the patio.

Can't stress to you all enough, this is my favorite place on planet Earth.
Food is amazing, drinks are well curated and every year when we return there's always something amazing to try.
Live music is sublime, the playlist outside of the live music is almost like they're using my personal playlist.
If you only have time to try one bar/restaurant in New Glarus, make it this one.

We had a wonderful time at the Dirty Dog Taphaus this weekend! We loved it so much that we visited it twice during our visit to New Glarus! Great indoor and outdoor atmosphere! Loved the self serve tap beers - great variety!! And the decor...the best!!! Met one of the owners who was great to chat with about the history of his bar and also great suggestions to do while in town!!
