One of our favorites places in New Glarus! The atmosphere is spot on, the staff is super friendly, and the food is authentic and delicious! We had to wait but we don't care it is so worth it. We will be back!

šŗGlarner Stube is one of those places that grabs you the moment you walk in. Youāre greeted by a nostalgic oldāschool bar, the kind that makes you feel like youāve stepped into a cozy European time capsule. The dining area is narrow, charming, and decorated with an eclectic mix of everything from vintage pieces to German flair ā basically a visual buffet before the real buffet arrives š.
I went straight for the schnitzel, and ohhhh my goodnessā¦ crispy, tender, perfectly seasoned ā the kind of schnitzel that makes you briefly consider yodeling š„Øš¶. The red cabbage was amazing, full of flavor and cooked just right. The German potato salad? Warm, tangy, and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt like a hug from someoneās German grandmother.
Naturally, I washed it all down with a cold Spotted Cow, because when in Wisconsin, you follow the sacred traditions šŗš.
And just when I thought the meal couldnāt get any betterā¦ the dessert arrived. One of the richest, most decadent cakes Iāve ever had. The kind of cake that makes you stop midāsentence and reevaluate your dessert standards š°š„.
Fantastic atmosphere, incredible food, and a place Iāll definitely return to next time Iām in the area.

The younger female bartender has no business working a bar(1-17-26). Extremely rude and unhelpful. We normally enjoy coming here but I think we will be passing by from now on. Bring back Steve!!! Aside from the terrible bartender everything else was great.

Fish fry was greasy, not like it used to be- are there new owners? Could look into kitchen it was filthy, saw someone drinking out of the pitcher the waitresses filled peoples water with!!!
The food was slow it took about a hour and 10 minutes. The burger was dry, cold and also not cooked like I asked, I said medium and I got well done. The service was slow and the atmosphere was fine other than the only toilet which was stinky. The only good things were the coke, French fries and the soups( Philly steak soup and the veggie soup) other than that I couldnāt think of anything better.

Came for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful meal. Started with the cheese fondue, very authentic and large. My wife had the wiener schnitzel and I had the gleschnetzeles. Both were excellent. Service was attentive. Will definitely be coming back

We had dinner and drinks. The service was good and food was alright. Seasoning was absent and missed. Flavor was mid. The fondue was a very sharp swiss. The veal was dry and lacking.
