I drove 35 minutes to take my family to Smiking Moose. Awesome place. BARTENDER so nice and definitely has us coming back again!! The food speaks for itself. They have pool and a beautiful outdoor hangout. Thank you Smiling Moose!!

Totally delicious food and a large menu! We've been here for breakfast(awesome)lunch(amazing) and dinner(phenomenal) service is bar-none great. Can be slow when they are swamped but who can't? Great place with a lot of history catering is top of the line as well. And the owner is a local legend with her generosity! 5 stars all the way.

This is a Wisconsin casual bar/restaurant with lots of interesting signs and bar antiques. Lots of atmosphere! Food was excellent, drinks reasonably priced. Service excellent. I had the triple burger, two beef patties and one pork patty. Fries and cheese curds were really good. There was an interesting band playing outside on the stage.
Some says they have good food and I've been there 5 times and im hoping to get some Everything tastes like the oil needs cleaning and last time I ordered a fish sandwich and it literally had 1 small piece of fish that took up half the bun and no flavor my fries were brown and tasted like burnt oil We get gift cards is the only reason we order from there otherwise I'll pass

We really should’ve known better- when the fresh scent of cow manure outside tried to warn “Turn around, my friends.” Yet we still walked into The Smiling Moose expecting small-town charm, maybe some cheese curds and a cold beer. Instead, we got the full “you’re not from around here, are ya?” experience—served raw and silent. Only thing smiling in there was the moose on the wall—and even he looked uncomfortable. No greeting. No menu. No eye contact. We swear we saw a tumbleweed roll by…
Unless you’re on a first-name basis with the bartender, the taxidermy, or possibly the actual moose, you’re better off grabbing a Slim Jim and calling it a night.
