My wife and I stopped by the Oak Creek location on 12/23. We were one of three parties waiting, nobody was there to greet us. This was around 5pm. So we left. We went to an Italian restaurant down the block and they were very busy, but we got a table. We go to Pizza Man for take out quite a bit, but to be honest, the place looks very unwelcoming. The bar is closed, with stuff on it like they are cleaning it. Even when I see people in there, it looks sad. Many other places we go are busy, very busy. This is because they maintain a welcoming environment. Pizza Man is acting like they really would rather stay closed than be open for business. We agreed when we left that we will not be going back any time soon.

Pizza Man: The original Pizza Man opened in 1970 on Milwaukee's East Side. Sadly in 2010 the restaurant burned to the ground. A few years later Pizza Man returned stronger than ever by building a new Milwaukee location as well as two more parlors in Wauwatosa and Oak Creek. Pizza Man is known for their thin crust, but they also offer pan style and more recently deep dish. My loyal followers know that with the Doughboy, pan style is the best way to go. The thick crust is crispy and crunchy on the outside and reminds me a bit of garlic bread (texture only), while the center of the crust is soft and chewy. I love a thick and chewy crust and this is a superb example. There is a light butter flavoring, but it leaves something to be desired as I've had more flavorful crust at other parlors. I got classic sauce on mine, but garlic olive, basil pesto, Italia, and BBQ are also available. I've been to Pizza Man a few times and have been really impressed, but I was a little disappointed this time. My pizza was not nearly as cheesy as on the other occasions. If you look at the pic you can see many of the slices have little cheese and mostly sauce. In fact, only two of the eight pieces were properly covered in cheese. At $16 for a small cheese pizza you would expect better. It was an average pizza, but the previous pizzas I've gotten here have been much better. My family & I have been to this Oak Creek location 3 times this summer (once a bigger party in the wine room) and all foods ordered were very good! They even made my pizza’s with my favorite “pink” sauce (a combo of red & Alfredo). Try it sometime it’s really good - they should put it on their menu!And we’ve clearly found the BEST EVER WAITRESS, Joyce M. She took such good care of us all 3 times and showed great empathy to us at the family gathering that did have a sadder focus. Thank you Joyce for your kindness to us all - you understood.Barb

Was sat and approached right away as it was was ~ 6 tables busy. Waitress super nice tooke initial order. She was also extremely personable in the ordering process.Nkw she did forgot to bring draft brew...that was a can. SUPER disappointed their draft beer is in can.... server owned mistake and gave hella props.Cheese curds are par at best IMO. Others seemed to.rather enjoy. Their garlic bread was DELICIOUS to me and 100% worth it (i didnt get it with cheese though).Ordered a 22" bbq pizza --> i seen some reviews on how thin the crust is... yeah i was def unimpressed as the first piece literally broke as i grabbed it. The bbq taste was good and the cheese blobs on it was amazing. The chicken seemed to be cooked, frozen, heated up and frozen again. Just super chewy and tasteless.Server mid dine obtained 3 additional tables one kf which was a 6 top. She was extremely busy and didnt see much kf her.. she also looked as if she was the ONLY server.Would i come back? Yes to see if it was a overall better experience. 3 stars strictly for the personablility server had. 1 star for thin crust and cheese curds. 2 stars for bbq flavor, cheese blobs on pizza and awesome garlic bread. 3 stars for server owning miss and personality.

I love thin pizza, but holy cow, this pizza was beyond thin, and had ALOT of cornmeal on the bottom, thats all I felt like I was chewing on, didn't enjoy it at all. Had the calamari, so over fried, $13 for a small amount in that order. Wasn't that busy, never did get a refill on my ice tea, she said she was bringing it...no such luck!
decent crowd both inside and out. we waited almost 45 minutes for our pizzas. not sure if they were understaffed in the kitchen but we only saw 2 servers working as well. can't wait for their pre-Covid pizza specials to come back.

I asked for no goat cheese on the pizza n I got goat cheese.... It was a pan too which took forever. Considering it wasn't even busy there, I understand pan pizza takes longer to cook, but I was there for like 2 hours. I had asked for my cheesey garlic bread n calamari to come with the pizza not beforehand. No one even came to ask if everything was okay. This use to be the go to..... Idk what happened

First at this location in Oak Creek. Very open seating and lots of outdoor seating. Food was amazing, my favorite is still deep dish, classic. So many other options. Must try!! Happy eating!!
