Absolutely love the new menu! The sauce on the beef tenderloin was devine, and I don't like blu cheese. Great portions and great, friendly people. Can't wait to go back!

Wow what a difference a new kitchen and wait staff makes. Had stopped going here about 2 years ago but decided to give it a second chance. Well done on a creative menu. Only thing we wish you still had is the chicken and waffles, my son's favorite. Keep up the good work!

We have yet to find something on the new menu that isn't great! Our server Josh was incredible.

Loved the new menu and truly the options were endless, I had a hard time picking what I wanted to try. We got the mussels to share and I tried the chicken thigh piccata - both absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning.

I’ve been back twice since the new menu and loved both times! The first time I had the Bahn Mi Sandwich & Fries, and the second time I had the Mushroom Linguini with Mussels as a starter. The mussels were perfect and I could’ve drank the sauce they came with. The Bahn Mi was full of balanced flavors, and the Mushroom Linguini was such a refreshing summer pasta dish! This is the type of menu that I always expected at David Reay’s - it matches the atmosphere and brings a unique flavor to Onalaska! ☺️

Very disappointed with last night's dinner. Four of us, all ordered something different. The three cheese Flatbread was the only dinner that was up to the reputation of this restaurant. Fish and chips - fish was overcooked. Walnut burger came with way too few fries. Chicken burger looked pathetic. Dinner was severed with no silverware or napkins on the table. No offer to refill water or iced tea during dinner.

My family and I arrive a couple minutes after 7 pm, and a sign on the door says the last seating is at 7 pm. The door is locked. If your last seating is at 7 pm, then don't post an 8:30 pm closing time. It ruined the evening for my family as we did not have time to find another restaurant as my son is gluten-free and we went here specifically for the number of GF menu items.

First let me start by saying that the food is amazing. But every single time we actually plan to go, it never workouts. I called to make sure they accept take out orders over the phone. Once I got the confirmation that they did, I got the order figured out and tried to call back but no one would pick up. It sounded like someone would pick up the phone and hang up or place me on hold. So I gave it a few minutes since it was a Saturday, but still no answer and it was the same exact sound. It even rang for a while. Very disappointed especially since we’re always in the mood for it but the service always fails us…

I was craving fish and went here. Big mistake the fish was so overcooked it was hard to chew and even got stuck in my teeth, the batter tasted burnt. Oh and I believe the coleslaw was expired multiple people at the table tried it and all agreed it was gross and something was wrong with it. The server barely came to our table. Getting a refill of soda was impossible. I've had a bad experience here before and decided to not come here anymore but my sister wanted to go here so I gave you guys another chance and this happens. I will not be giving you a third chance.

The food and service were outstanding! The restaurant was a recommendation from the front desk clerk at the hotel we stayed at and she was absolutely right. I had the fish tacos, but hesitated to order them because I was afraid they might be too spicy. They weren’t. The seasoning was flavorful with just enough heat. The cheese curds were unlike any I’ve ever had and they were outstanding! I had a strawberry lemongrass mule. It was unlike anything I have ever had and I really enjoyed it. Our server was friendly and attentive. A great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant!
