Went there on April 2, 2024, on Tuesday around 12:45 PM. Doors were locked, and the whole restaurant was closed. According to google, it was supposed to be open. Im giving it a 1 star due to not being able to even try it. Definitely not going back wasted my drive.

Wish I had come here sooner! I had the Maxwell Street Polish, and lightly dipped Italian Beef. Both were so delicious! Portions are large, prices are great! And they have daily specials.

I've been here so many times and have never left disappointed! My personal favorite is the Gyro, it's absolutely out-of-this-world! A close runner up is the Chicago Dog - authentic and delicious. The French fries are the best in the area, hands down. My ONLY minor complaint, if I had to have one, would be that there isn't any seating indoors. During the summer months, there's a patio, but unfortunately, there's no where to sit when it's cold outside. Only reason that's a complaint is I have to wait longer to eat my food and smell it the entire way home. If you're looking for a hotdog, look no further.Angelini's on the other side of the building is phenomenal, as well. You won't leave this place unsatisfied!

Drove a hour and a half to get some Chicago dog's haven't been there since they moved made a big order started eating my food on the drive home and the buns were hard as a rock not only where they stale they weren't even Poppy seed buns sorry I'm from Chicago I know hot dogs will never complain about portilos prices again. sorry for the rant but I was very disappointed ?

What a great place. If you are from Chicago, then you can appreciate this fine establishment. And if you are not, prepare to be introduced to Chicago flavor. We had the Chicago...delicious. A true dog does NOT have ketchup. Remember that people. This place held true to the tradition...all beef, mustard, onions, tomatoes, sport peppers, a pickle and celery salt on the side. Only thing...need to poppy seed buns. The fries? Plenty! A basket is enough for 2-3 people. Better than 5 Guys or McDos. My better half appreciated her gyro. We ate outside as it was a lovely day. Stop by and see what all the hub bun is about.

Visiting from Charlotte and I absolutely loved the food! Great portions, hearty dogs, delicious cheese fries. Couldn’t stop myself from eating half the dog before I remembered to take a pic! Highly recommend.

Only reason it isn't all 5s is that the lady taking our order didn't mention just how large the portions were and we got two orders of fries for our kids when we could've gotten just one for the whole family...but that's being picky...everything else was fantastic and the food was amazing! Highly recommend!
