Lindy's Subs & Salads - Onalaska

Not worth the $50 price tag. The soup was watered down, sunflower seeds on the salad were rancid which were an upcharge. I also paid for chicken strips and received 3 little pieces. Paid extra for bacon on my husband's sandwich and it was left off. I usually love this place but will be spending my $50 elsewhere go forward.

We love Lindy's! It's our favorite place to go; however, we will not be going there anymore after today. I called a few days ago and spoke to a wonderful gentleman about ordering some platters for our Celebration of Life. We talked about not knowing how many people would show up, and he mentioned cutting the subs smaller helped them. I (apparently incorrectly) assumed that Lindy's cut the subs smaller. I called today to order the platters and see if we could get the subs cut smaller. The first person I spoke to was not sure and had to ask a manager. Because they were busy (it was lunchtime), they asked if they could call me back. That would have been fine with me, but I only have two breaks throughout my day -- one at 8:00 AM and one at 11:30 AM, so I said yes, but it would have to be after 3:15 because I cannot talk until then. This is after their hours. The manager came to the phone and told me she was busy and could not field this phone call. I said again that she could call me back, but I would not be available until after 3:15. I also said that if I was asking too much, that's fine. The short of the story was that I was told I could order the subs and cut them myself. Here's my issue: we are already going through enough with a death in the family, and to be spoken to with such a negative attitude was wrong. If she had said, "I'm so sorry, but we can't do that," or "I'm so sorry, maybe you misunderstood," then I wouldn't have been as angry as I am now. I get busy...we are all busy. I'm not upset with the fact that she said she was busy. Just tell me no, but do it with some tact, some grace, some sort of professionalism. Needless to say, we went to Wal-Mart, and the person I spoke to was kind and extremely accommodating. Thank you, Onalaska Wal-Mart deli employee for having empathy. By the way, the Wal-Mart phone call took just under 3 minutes.

Lindy's subs are good. They have several varieties of homemade bread available for the sandwiches. They do have different varieties of sandwiches and a good selection of chips.

I've been going to Lindy's for a number of years now in their current location as well as the past location. I don't ever remember a disappointing experience either in the quality of food or in the service I've received. Today, I grabbed an Uncle Lindy sub to go (my favorite) and they also treated me to some chicken dumpling soup (it was delicious), since it was closing time. I don't mix it up much with subs, but I strongly recommend the Uncle Lindy. I've had a variety of soups and salads in the past too, which I also recommend. The staff today and throughout the years has always been very polite.

Got the Memphis pork, Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Atmosphere is nice and comfortable just wish the food was a little more flavorful.
It's a sub shop that is fine for a quick bite.

A decent sub but a little skimpy on the meats. A diagram of sizes would be very helpful. Styrofoam soup bowls are a real turn off.

Just wanted to eat soup, a sandwich, and watch the clouds roll by. No soup at all, and they made a big deal about not letting me sit by the windows so i just took it to go.
