The other reviews were correct the Yorker is incredible. Had ice cream for my dessert before the sandwich Keylime pie and butterscotch so yummy.

The 'New Yorker' was so good I went back in and ordered another for the road as we have another 500 miles to drive today. The bread was fresh baked on site. I must admit the shop looked a bit sketchy on the outside, but the sandwich was amazing. Thank you!

I just finished eating a classic reuben from Midway Deli’s West Salem location. It was great! I’m looking forward to trying more sandwiches on the menu!

Disappointed with the service and atmosphere. Lost appetite for this place. Been there 3 times. First time, there was an adult working at the prep station. Sandwiches and soup was delicious for a great deal. Along with a clean family friendly atmosphere. We thought, finally a great place for family to grab a quick sandwich and soup near the Holmen area. So we decided to come back again. The last two experiences were awful. The second time, there was a young lady who was working alone. She seem too occupied talking to her male friend as she was making our sandwiches which caused a delay and order was made incorrectly. The third experience was by far the worse. There were three young ladies working there that day. None came over to wipe down the tables and sweep the floors. After we ordered , I noticed the tall girl with pink sweater wasn’t wearing gloves. I saw her preparing a sandwich with no gloves on and was scratching her mouth. I thought for a moment, she might be making the sandwich for herself. To my dismay, the sandwich was for a customer who ordered prior to ours. Because of that, I kept a close eye on the her to see if she was going to prepare our sandwiches. There was another girl who was in a loose hooter midriff tshirt at the prepping food station and she was wearing gloves. The tall girl in pink sweater went over to grab what appeared to be individually wrapped meat, open it up and had a disgust look on her face. She goes over to the girl with the hooter shirt and tells her to look at the meat. Heard them say, “that’s gross!” They went over to the prep station and grabbed another pre-wrapped meat and opened it. They both had a disgust look on their face and giggled. I’m not sure how many more they open and whether or not they discard the meat. They both continued to prep our sandwiches. I kept a close eye on the pink sweater girl because she was the only one not wearing gloves. The entire time the sandwiches was being made, I noticed her wiping her hands on her pants, playing with her cell phone, drinking soda, and sipping her water all while assisting hooter shirt girl prepping our sandwiches. At no point did the pink sweater girl wore gloves. As a health care worker, seeing that makes me unease and quickly loose my appetite. I was close to telling the girl in pink sweater to wash her hands and put gloves on but felt it wasn’t worth any altercations that could come out of confronting her. The business will have to loose us as customers indefinitely. If you get young looking girls making your meal, you might want to keep a close eye on how they prepare it. I had high hopes for this place. I fear this place won’t do well in the future if owner doesn’t correct the staff with proper education about hand sanitation and hygiene. I do feel bad if this is a family own business. The young staff aren’t taking their jobs seriously and will be the reason why this place will crumble if this continues.

Vegetarian options: They gladly substituted apples for the bacon in the salad and said they are happy to make adjustments. Terrific!

Had to have been top 10 sandwiches of all time. Got the special which was the hot pork. Super tender. Moist bread. Everything worked together.
Try to call ahead if you're headed in around noon. They were pretty busy.
