“Coworker and I were heading to a nearby city for work from another state, and knowing fast food costs are wild now, would rather find a good burger from a local place…was literally just a “nearby restaurant”…I had the huge BBQ bacon burger, buddy had the wings special. Lots of locals, and it was sand VB folks coming in from their courts in the evenings to eat. If you are local or traveling through, worth a try.“

“It’s a great local bar to meet friendly locals. The staff will make sure you’re smiling the entire time and you won’t be waiting for a refill. Though don’t count on an extensive menu- but they do have the basics. Food menu is limited to pizza and prepackaged snacks. Lots of TVs for sports viewing, however. Prices are definitely reasonable.“

“THIS IS THE BEST BAR IN LA CROSSE! I’m serious, yall. Aside from the great pricing and food options, the bartenders are the best! I left my purse at the bar 10 months ago and they held it for me… with everything intact! Im still in shock. Can’t trust anyone to do that where I’m from (Atlanta 😅). I love the Midwest! Seriously, the best people and the best bar. Shoutout to Jake!! You’re the man! See you all soon!!! Cheers!!“

“We stopped in because we have the WI Proud Bloody Mary cards. They happened to have a bloody bar at the time. It was actually fun to make our own and everything they had out was fresh. Highly recommend their infused vodka. Friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.“

“Our family came to Howies after my daughter raved about this place. We brought my brother and his daughter with. We got to sit up top so our waitress had to carry our drinks and food to up to us. If you haven’t met waitress Jessica W yet you must! She was a rock star! She kept our drinks full and got our food to us in a timely manner. She was so friendly and we all loved her. The food was dynamite! We loved the appetizers and our main meal. We will for sure be back and will be asking for Jessica again!“

“We have had great customer service at Crooked Pint! Tonight there was difficulties in the kitchen which led to an unexpected long wait- our waitress & the manager handled the situation so gracefully. They acknowledged the mishap and comped us without our party even speaking up. This was our 3rd time eating at Crooked Pint as a family & it has been a great experience each time. Our kids look forward to dining here and so do we. The food is great and the service is too!“
