The service and food were fairly good The atmosphere was nice and casual. The servers were tentative. The place was clean and I definitely would consider it in the future. It’s not a chain and it looks like they take a little bit of pride in the food that they put out and how it’s presented and most of all how it taste.

We had our wedding at Beckets on September 27th 2025. I had grown up coming here, so it just felt right! We had such a perfect day! Kris and his team are so incredibly responsive. You will not wait long for a reply from this team. Kris knows the wedding business like the back of his hand. He was confident and collected in all of his responses and replies to our questions. We served the braised short rib with mashed potatoes and received so many compliments on how amazing the dinner was! Multiple guests telling us it’s the best wedding dinner they ever had.
We can’t forget how beautiful the space is. So unique and not your average wedding venue. If you are considering having dinner here…or your most important day of your life…don’t question it! Thank you to Kris and Beckets team for helping us throw the biggest and best party of our life! Cheers!!

The food was fine. Nice for a fancier meal in town. I really liked the croquettes. I wouldn’t recommend the duck, it was just fine. The salmon and sirloin were both pretty good. The vibes here were good but the food was pretty plain and just okay.

I wouldn’t take my family here again. The food was decent for the most part. The burger kept coming out burned (actually black!) and even after it was re made it came out black. The meat pops were nothing like pictured and described and were over cooked. The atmosphere however was absolutely NOT kid friendly. Nothing about this place is welcoming and several things are absolutely a reason to never come back!
To the owner’s reply: thanks for the comment I guess. My kids are very well behaved and I have no doubt that you are welcoming to children in your dive bar. That does NOT however make it a child friendly place. It’s the opposite in fact.
I see the combative and arrogant replies (and in person interactions according to some reviews) are quite frequent in almost all of the honest reviews.

Two stars overall. First time visiting here and not impressed. For more 'upscale' restaurant, employees seemed to not match the scene. Its more of a casual establishement. Fox river brewing company is fancier. Pricey, very underwhelming. Food was subpar. Not busy. We ordered 2 drinks that took 20 minutes to receive and we only received them because we asked our waiter as he walked passed us for the 10th time since ordering. We ordered pork belly and Japanese chicken sandwich. Pork belly was good, packed with flavor, but not for $17 lol. Japanese Chicken sandwich was juicy, but flavorless. I was looking forward to the aoili on there and it was kind of disappointing. Will we return willingly? Probably not. Waiter was kind, think he was new so hes got some slack.
Just stopped in at the bar for a few drinks. A lot of people were outside on the patio. The only time the bartender spoke to us was when she asked what we wanted to drink, and then when we left she said bye. Hostess was much more friendly & smiling.

Look at the replies to the bad reviews. The owner/manager is arrogant and extremely confrontational. We had an issue and asked for the manager. He came with his crew (posse) with him and confronted a 79 year old woman, that was hosting the lunch and argued with her right in front of about 12 people. This guy is something else. He had no idea who he is talking to. The men in the group did not want to engage the situation, even though maybe that is what is needed. Extremely confrontational and rude! It is sad. When I was an exec at EAA we highly recommended this restaurant. No longer!
