Benvenuto's Italian Grill

I took a friend here for their birthday and we were very pleased. Our server was attentive and friendly. The lasagna was delicious and a larger portion size so I was able to take some home for later.

Salads that came before our entrees were very large and very fresh. Entrees were plentiful and would have been very tasty if they hadn't been over seasoned (read salt). Service left a lot to be desired. Waitress was not knowledgeable about the main menu or the wine list. She rushed service despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty. She rarely returned to the table and we ended the meal with two empty wine bottles and empty water glasses. Normally the level of the service would earn a lower rating but I understand how difficult it is to find good help. Tell the cooks to lay off the salt. People can always add salt at the table if that's the way they want it, but you can't take it out.

We stopped at the bar for pre-dinner drinks. Cassie was amazing and has a contagious laugh. She's got skills in designing new tasty drinks! We loved all that we tried. Dinner was fabulous. Outstanding service. Definitely go here when you can!

My wife and I went here on Valentine's Day. It was an excellent restaurant. I had the salmon, crispy brussel sprouts, my wife had chicken Alfredo and pasta they were both wonderful. We had bruschetta as an appetizer and the way they prepared it was the best, they put the tomato mixture in the center with the toast around the edges then drizzled the whole thing with balsamic vinegar glaze. They also sent out fresh warm bread right before the meal. Try this place for a nice meal out you like it.

My husband had the Lasagna. It was a good size portion! I had a good Cajun sausage pasta. Flour less chocolate cake was really good! We both had leftovers to bring home. We will be going here to eat instead of the Italian restaurant in downtown Appleton from now on! Highly recommend this place!

If I could give this zero stars I would. We have been here previously and it was fantastic. Tonight it was absolutely horrible. The host when we walked in was extremely unprofessional and was yelling across the restaurant. After she sat us our waiter came over and had such a weird and off-putting tone when speaking to us. It was almost like he was demanding, which was very awkward. I asked if one of the pasta dishes could be made without shallots, as I am allergic. Our server just stared at me and said “I don’t even know what words you’re saying”. So I pointed to the place in the menu where it listed shallots, and he just walked away. We also ordered an appetizer, which after bringing it out he said that they improvised in the back because they ran out of the real appetizer. After about 30 minutes he then comes back and says “yeah, the thing you were talking about on the menu I don’t even know what that is so what do you want to do about it?” Meanwhile my husband and I had been waiting for 30 minutes after ordering and he had never said anything else about it in that time. I said no problem and chose a different dish off of the menu, and when our food came out both my husband and I agreed that it was not warm and lacked greatly in flavor. I worked as a server for 5 years previously so we were nice about it and didn’t request anything to be re-made but the food wasn’t good, and the whole experience was just SO terribly awkward. To top it off my husband found a short black curly hair in his food! We both ended up leaving with only a couple bites of our food gone. It was a waste of $75 and we stopped at McDonalds after, which we were honestly more satisfied with. I’m very understanding of the restaurant industry but this was probably the worst experience I’ve had anywhere.

Very good shrimp Alfredo. Very fresh salad greens. Very nice dining area. Good service, although server was very busy (perhaps too many tables per server?).

If i could give zero I would! We went there to eat lunch, was seated at a booth and was told our waitress would be right with us. Sat there for about 25 minutes as a waitress continued to walk right past us and never acknowledged us. Two tables were also sat right by us and they were served right away. After that we left. We don't understand how a waitress can see us sitting there and not even just double check with us. And also as we left the hostess didn't even look up from her phone to even acknowledge us either. We will definitely never ever go back their again.

Four of us for lunch on a Sunday. Excellent food and the very very best service from two efficient and friendly ladies, one of whom was in training. I've only been there a few times, but would definitely recommend.

Atmosphere was very nice. Not pretentious but very classy and quite nice. Waitress (Noelle) was fantastic! She was so kind, very attentive, and extremely pleasant and gracious. Food was over the top excellent! We had various pasta dishes which were all outstanding! Especially the made fresh from scratch sauces and balance of flavors. The appetizers (calamari and risotto balls) were very flavorful and fresh. The bread was amazing as were the soups (people in our party said the best they'd ever had)! Very, very enjoyable,definitely recommend, and definitely will be back!!!

Very comfortable interior both spacious and clean. Felt very relaxed in the waiting area and my booth while I waited for my food.Soup was creamy, basil notes were light but present. Tomatoes were sweeter rather than tart. Too bad there was no grilled cheese to go with it. Aioli sauce enhanced flavor of calamari while the marinara sweetened the taste. For the spaghetti, the noodles were cooked a bit past Al dente but still palatable, the meatballs had a lovely texture to them. Mackenzie was a wonderful waitress. Can't wait to visit again.

Went here on my birthday, our server, Cindy was the sweetest! We didn't have to wait for a table or long for drinks & food. Very clean, beautiful atmosphere & food was amazing quality! Will definitely return.

Very disappointed. My dinner was cold. My friend's meal was cold. Another friend's meatcwas over cooked and dry. So very sad.

Delicious food, good service. A great Italian meal that won't break the bank. The Bread is awesome but they have lots of gluten free choices. I get the cauliflower crust pizza just because I like it!

Bourbon glazed pork chop dinner with crispy brussel sprouts are the best and my favorite. Clam chowder soup is very good as well.
