Fox River Brewing Company Waterfront Restaurant

Beer & cheese curds were good. Advertises gluten free menu options. Not available. Asked for burger without garnish. Not available. Brat was 2/3 raw. Server brought silverware for only half the table. NOT a very good dining experience at all.

This used to be one of my favorite places to bring out-of-town friends after a day on the boat, but over the past few years, the service has steadily declined—and this most recent visit on July 4th was the worst yet.

We had a party of 12, and from the moment drinks were served, things quickly fell apart. Three drinks were forgotten, and when our food arrived, not a single order was correct. Out of 12 people, we had 12 plates with missing items, incorrect ingredients, or food that never even made it out of the kitchen.

One example—my husband cannot eat pepperoni, so I specifically ordered half pepperoni, half sausage. It came out with both on the entire pizza. When we asked to have it remade, we were told it would be another 30 minutes. With hungry kids, we just made do, but my husband ended up eating nothing. Even our 2-year-old’s food was never made.

Every time we asked about something being wrong, the waitress simply blamed the kitchen. When we finally asked to speak with a manager, no one ever came. We decided to just pay and leave, but even then, the waitress became irritated, argued with us, and told us we didn’t need a manager—that it wasn’t her fault.

This was our third bad experience in a row, and there’s been zero accountability or care from management each time. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back, and I can no longer recommend this place to others.

The food here is always delicious and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, our recent visit was overshadowed by the number of flies inside the restaurant. We spent most of our dinner swatting them away, which made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. Hoping this is something that can be addressed, because the food really is worth coming back for.

Awesome menu, great food.

Visited on 7/12/25. We were seated promptly, it was very hot and windy outside so we chose the dining room, the temp was still pretty hot inside. Prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes, but everyone was happy with their food. The captain crunch chicken tenders were popular with the kids. Ordered 4 root beers and they were all flat, they gave us 4 cans instead and still charged $4 each. Obviously you are paying for the location/view, overall it was OK but we probably would not return.

Excellent food, and you can also sit by the river in the summertime.

Service was very poor. We had 11 people, including 4 small kids, 6 and under, and a teenage girl. We ordered a half and half pizza, and it came out wrong. We had to ask for it to be re made. We opted not to wait another 20 minutes so my wife and kids ate, I cannot have pepperoni which was why we ordered half and half. One of the kids meals (chicken tenders) was never cooked and we had to ask for it. The server kept saying it was the kitchens fault and she didnt know what happened. We asked for a manager before the bill came, and the server did not go get one. Or the manager just never came out... we usually bring groups on our boat and stop here for dinner a couple times a year. The service has usually been ok and the food is usually also OK. We will probably be going somewhere else after this incident.

I’ve been been coming here for 20 years and the food has always been mediocre while atmosphere has always been top notch

Oshkosh restaurant week! Fox River Brewing did a great job! Enough food to take home- chicken tenders, soup selection, sandwich, tacos, and two desserts. All very good, and service was great as well.

It's was a nice place, just issues with hair in my food, but anything else, the service was excellent

We arrived at the brewery and were seated in the dining room which was freezing. We had to keep our coats on. We looked at the draft beer list and were surprised the only way we could get the beers we wanted was either in can or bottle. I didn't go to a brewery drink beer that was not on tap. I could have stayed home for that. But we did order one can and one bottle of beer to try. The server said she would bring a glass but never returned with it. The menu was pricey and included no extras such as a salad or bread/rolls. I made the server aware we had chosen not to eat there and would want to pay our bill. I gave $20 cash and she said she would be right back with the change. It took some time for her to return but not to us and I had to stop her and ask for my change. She said she forgot. Overall extremely disappointing.

Food is always great here. Prices are in the higher range, but the food and beverages compensate!

Great views, great beer, great atmosphere, food was awful

Small TVs in restaurant bar. Couldn't see Badger football game. So we were sent to the taproom which had great TV's.
