The best Friday Fish Fry in Southern Wisconsin since the mid to late 60's. Best Potato Pancakes ever.

On Friday, I arrived right when they opened at 4pm. There was a little crowd, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a couple who arrived on horseback and tied up to the hitching post. (Yes, Nite Cap still has a hitching post for their guests!) You place your order upon entering and then head to the bar to grab a drink and wait for your table to be ready. When they call your name, you get seated at your table to enjoy your family style, all-you-can-eat fish fry.? The fish was amazing! It completely lived up to the hype. I was surprised that it wasn’t a beer-batter, but the batter was still nice and crisp. The famous potato pancakes were also delicious! They weren’t greasy and had crispy edges and soft centers. I understand why the recipe has held the test of time! The meal also came with tartar, coleslaw, applesauce, and bread.?? Highly recommend a visit to Nite Cap Inn!

Only place I have ever been for all you can eat fish and was questioned when we wanted more. Received eye roll from waitress when we asked for more. 4 of us and she would bring 2 pieces at a time and they are the size of a playing card. Then we were told we were being wasteful. Finally Asked for 10 pieces as we had three grown men and my wife and she brought 7 and said that’s all they had. Took over an hour to eat a fish fry. If you are a big eater like the boys and I go somewhere else. They ran out of the house special beer and the cheese cake my Wife wanted. Fish was nothing special and potato pancakes tasted like they were from a box and were so tough you could barely cut them. Check reviews and You see a definite decline over the past few years. They need a lesson on getting customers to come back. Oh and don’t bother the hostess, she gets mad when you ask anything.

Drinks overpriced for country bar . 26 dollars for 1 jack and coke 1 rail rum and coke , 1 rail old fashioned , 1 can of coke and 1 soda of the gun . Saw review on top 20 fish fry . Fish was good if you could get any on family style . Coleslaw good . Potato pancakes tough but good flavor . Asked for french frys . One handful at a time . Disappointed from what the food critics said it would be . I will not tell anyone it's a must .

Been here a couple times and food is always delicious. Wait was a little long to get seated but apparently had tech issues so it’s understandable. Usually there’s not a long wait but the food is waiting for you on the table when you sit down and you’ll enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait. Recommend!

Old school supper club. Be prepared to order immediately after entering. Sit at the bar, and wait for your table and food.

We enjoyed two of the German dishes, great cocktails and Key Lime cheesecake. Service was excellent, even though there were only 2-3 staff people. Disappointed the bar wasn’t open and busy, but I know post COVID issues still are around. Thought it was a very good value. We’ve enjoyed the fish fry in the past, as well.Parking: Free street parking

My buddy brought me to experience a classic 'sconni fish fry and this place didn't disappoint. Glad I was with experienced friends as I would have had no idea I needed to know what to order as I walked in.Got to sit at the insanely classic bar and drink classic supper club drinks. Then once our table was ready, we moved over and had a top notch dinner. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection. Frys were as well. Had some blueberry cheesecake and that was amazing too.If you want the real deal, classic Friday fish fry experience... This is the place.Just remember be ready when you walk in... Chicken, cod, or walleye? Potato cakes, French fries, or slaw? ??

Went for a Friday night fish fry. I have no complaints about the quality of food; both the fish and potato pancakes were good. If you're ok with one serving and maybe just one extra piece, I think you'll enjoy your visit. But, as a big eater, I tend to be drawn to all-you-can-eat and I get the impression they go out of their way to make getting additional helpings as inconvenient as possible. When you want more they bring you only one piece at a time and, when the waitress drops it off, don't expect to see her again for another 20 minutes. The strategy works; I think it took an extra 45 minutes for me to get 2 more pieces. I wanted one more but didn't feel like waiting another 25 minutes for it. Fortunately, there are still a few other places that offer A-U-C-E fish fry and I can get a few extra pieces without investing the extra hour to hour and a half.

The fish was frozen breaded processed. The fries were baked and hard, the baked fish was soggy and tasteless. Don’t wast your time.

Definitely a neat experience, walk in order at the door. Grab a seat at the bar and relax. When the food is ready, they send you to a table in the dining room. Walleye was Fantastic, light and flaky. Gf had the baked Cod, she said it was Fantastic as well. Key lime pie did not disappoint.

Our favorite fish fry by far. We live 35 minutes away, but since discovering Nite Cap back in 2018 we've been there over 50 times. It's one of those fish fry meals where everything is great - the fish, real potato pancakes, the fries, the coleslaw, even the bread and tartar sauce are top notch - and it's just a fun experience... like stepping back into 1973, in a good way. The walleye and shrimp are also excellent. We've stopped in 2 or 3 times for the German food as well, and enjoyed that very much, but we're more hooked on the fish :)
