This place is truly one of a kind! The food is spectacular and delicious. Thor and Catie (along with their staff) did an incredible job of turning the Dipper into the place to be. The food is always delicious no matter what you order, drinks are always cold, and they do an incredible job in everything they do.

We've owned a place on Pike Lake for 8 years now and The Big Dipper is hands down our favorite place to go eat! Thor and Catie are genuine, hardworking people who care deeply about their community. The atmosphere is true Northern Wisconsin Tavern with an excellent menu and generous portions. The Big Dipper is usually busy so plan accordingly, but it is definitely worth the wait. 5 Stars!

I’m a local in the area. Katie answered which I appreciate, however she rudely cut me off mid sentence as I was asking to do a pick up order she said “They just had 30 bikes pull in.” 15min later I drove by to pick up an order from another business and there were 8 bikes and 4 cars. There’s no way in 15min 30 bikers came in, all got served and left in that amount of time.

My husband & I are up here for a long weekend. Met some friends at the Dipper for dinner. We were very impressed. 2 of us had the cod and 2 the bluegill. The food came out fast, hot, delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent and so friendly. A great experience !

We came here for an early dinner on Friday night. We saw how busy it was the night before so we came at 4pm. The woman who was the host and server was kind and friendly and absolutely killing it managing a busy place with ease. She was efficient and amazing at her job. We ordered the fish fry and pizzas for our group of 9. The wait was not too long and even if it has been, it would have been worth it. The fish and pizzas were incredible. We would absolutely come again. We had three young children with us and felt welcome even though it’s a bar. Didn’t take any photos because we were too busy diving into our delicious dinners.

We heard about this place and drove 45 minutes from our cabin in Phillips, WI to try it out. We ordered the 6 piece chicken wings as an appetizer and a 16” pizza. Sausage, pepperoni, green olives and it was delicious! My wife also said the Bloody Mary was great. Our server was Steph and the other server were both great and made sure we had everything we needed. The other orders we saw brought out were burgers n fries, crispy chicken sandwich and they looked great. Huge portions of fries. We definitely make the trek back again sometime to try their other food options.
