The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Our table wasn't quite ready at our reservation time, so they were able to seat us in the bar almost immediately. We weren't made to wait.

Date night gem. Downtown quality out in lake country. Everything we've tried here is good and menu always evolving. Small but upscale spot. Service is always great. One of the best spots in LC.

So many delicious options. It is a little bit pricey but it's worth it! Their dinner gnocchi is one for everyone to try.

My husband and I went for dinner this evening and we would HIGHLY recommend Artisan 179!! The live music, our waitress Kelly, the drinks & the food were all amazing. The best dining experience we’ve had in awhile. We will 100% be back!

Some say the third time's a charm, but I will be honest with you and tell you Artisan 179 got it right and had the charm and sparkle the second time around. If you read my previous post/ review, you'll know that the Valentine's Day experience wasn't the greatest. I never thought in a million years that this restaurant owner (Ted) would respond with such promptness and concern over making the situation right. Initially when I walked out of that restaurant ( on Valentine's Day) I had no intentions of ever going back. Ted changed both my mind and my perspective. He reached out to me the day after Valentine's Day and we chatted he was sincerely apologetic about what had happened and when I looked at it from his point of view; there was a bit of miscommunication. I didn't feel the need to be rude and make a scene that night because there were other patrons in the restaurant enjoying their meals. Ted thought that this meant everything was okay, which I get and I understand how it must have looked and felt to him. I returned to the restaurant last night Saturday the 2nd of March and was greeted by Ted and of course the wonderful Bryce as a server. The experience was a complete 180 when compared to Valentine's Day and I was in awe. At some point Ted sat down with me and we talked about everything that had happened and I could see that he's so sincere about customer service and so passionate about this restaurant that he has worked so hard to build that there wasn't a doubt in my mind this is a man who truly cares. His passion for the restaurant business is in his blood and when he moved over to Wisconsin after 9/11 and a lifetime living in New York (working in restaurants both there and here), this was the chance for him to offer a unique dining experience based on his vision. Bryce my server had told me that Ted gave him a chance to work there when he was 18 and now he was 21 and he couldn't have been more proud to have this amazing job he loves. I also met the chef who was very, very sweet, she actually apologized for the Valentine's Day meal and then produced the most amazing culinary journey of the evening. Ted's beautiful wife and friends were also at the restaurant that night having a girl's night and were very warm-hearted, their infectious laughter could be heard across the room ( you could tell they were really enjoying their evening together). Collectively as I looked around the restaurant and saw so many people smiling and enjoying the wonderful meals that were presented and the staff members that were so attentive to all their tables, this is truly a collaborative effort by a team that is a family. In business (especially the restaurant business) not everything can be perfect all the time, but when someone, (Ted) takes the time to rectify a situation and show you the difference; you can't help but to want to contribute to their business and help it grow. I will definitely be returning to the restaurant and bringing friends and clients there. I saw the excitement in Ted's eyes as he awaits summer and has a chance to open the outdoor seating and the extended seating that he's so joylessly shared with me as we talked. I also took some pictures of the amazing food of the evening including the wonderful cocktail that the bartender prepared. If you want to experience a diamond in the rough in Pewaukee Wisconsin, please stop in to Artisan 179. Thank you Ted and staff for all you do!!

We love Artisan 179. The drinks are great and the bar serves drinks with only fresh ingredients (no Roses lime here). The food is consistently very good--delicious! It is an asset to the Pewaukee beach front.

Saw a homeless man assault a fish on the beach next to the restaurant and honesty it gave me a hardy chuckle

I normally don't go out on Valentine's Day, but because I was entertaining a business client from out of town we decided to visit Artesian 179. I remembered it fondly because I had been there circa 2017-2018 and thought it was an excellent little eclectic restaurant with a great location. Clearly, Covid's after effects are still lingering throughout the restaurant industry the examplebeing Artisan 179 botched dinner service. Valentine's Day was the day we had a reservation for and our waiter Bryce was amazing! He was probably the highlight of the dining experience because he gave exemplary customer service. The sad part would be the undercooked salmon that was raw in the middle that I'd already taken a bite out of and the risotto that had not been cooked correctly was overcooked and some areas and tased like it was scraped from the bottom of whatever pan it was in or that it's sat too long. But the worst part of the dining experience was when the owner of the restaurant came to address our table and asked if I'd like to take the salmon home and cook it a little more after I had refused to have it taken back to the kitchen and cooked because it had already been sauteed and whatever sauce it was in and sitting for almost 25 minutes. At that point I felt like I was at a Papa Murphy's take and bake and I had no intention of taking the half cooked salmon home finishing what the chef should have done in the kitchen in the first place and eating it ever again. I was shocked to learn that this owner formerly worked for the Bartolotta's restaurants which I frequent quite often especially Lake Park Bistro. It is sad to see that through all his restaurant experiences he would have the audacity to make that suggestion and then still charge me for the salmon that I ate five bites of one of them being the raw finalbite of salmon. There was a free dessert involved but I still paid $150 for a meal mind you the salmon and the risotto were still on my receipt. I didn't want to argue with the owner or complain anymore because clearly at the end of the day artesian 179 will take any sort of publicity to bring you in and let you have the coin toss of an evening whether it'll be good or bad. So I did pay the bill and tip well because Bryce has nothing to do with the kitchens inabilities to produce a good dish. I'm currently reaching out to other restaurant industry advocates for advice on how Artesian 179 could have handled this better and I'm collecting these stories from industry chefs and restaurant owners and starting a blog. Sometimes the simplest matters that could be solved with poise and diplomacy are killed by one's pride therefore making it impossible for them to be open to development. Remember folks we never stop learning and I hope that Artesian 179 if anything learns that turning out bad food even if to just one or two persons on top of rectifying the situation badly or poorly does not help your business grow. My wife and I had an early Valentines dinner last night. We were seated next to the fire place. John was our waiter and was very polite and kind. The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice warm atmosphere. The area the restaurant is also beautiful and inviting. The have a wide list of cocktails to choose from and the food was delicious. The charcuterie board was very good! Highly recommended. Had a wonderful evening will return.

We had a lovely evening. We met some friends to have dinner and listen to the live music. The service was great. The food was delicious, especially the desserts. It was our first time here but I'm sure we will be back. Highly recommend.

They've got it all correct here. Great food, awesome cocktails and nice vibe! Might be on the more expensive side, but worth it.
