I was at the Jersey Mike's on Capitol in Pewaukee at 7:25 PM on 3/25 and encountered disturbing hygiene practices. The subs were prepared on a dirty cutting board, and instead of using clean tools between subs, a visibly soiled rag was used for wiping it down. This same rag was also used to clean a bread knife that had been dipped in mayonnaise, which is a clear cross-contamination risk.The employees, although gloved, never changed these gloves after touching the cash register, undermining the whole point of wearing them. To make matters worse, another staff member used bare hands to handle food. Yuck.I strongly suggest a review and improvement of food handling and hygiene practices at this location or someone will get seriously ill.

Today I stopped to get a sandwich and when I walked in I saw they were extremely busy. I had no problem waiting. When my turn came up and I ordered the veggie sub, despite being so busy, the workers still took the time to clean off the slicer before cutting my cheeses and veggies for my sandwich. They did so without a complaint or even a look that this was going to slow them up more. It was so refreshing that they took such good care of this vegetarian without hesitation. It is greatly appreciated and is definitely noticed! Thank you!!Vegetarian options: They make sure there is no cross contamination of meats on your sandwich.

The sandwich was excellent! The problem was the woman checking us out didn't listen to what was said about points. I know it was busy but that doesn't excuse being rude when asked to correct the bill. I will go back to see if maybe when it's not do busy if she is better at customer service.

Sub was great, they sliced the meat to order at the time of making the sandwich, that is wild! That being said, as a result, the whole process took a long time. I was there during rush although the line was not terribly long and it took at least 15 minutes to go through the line. I ordered a cold sub, I was expecting it to be much faster.

We haven't been to a Jersey Mike's for a long time and our kids had never been so we thought we'd stop. The meat cutter (woman) was so rude. Since we hadn't been there in a long time I forgot that we don't give her our toppings at that time. She was very short when she told me this. I ordered a hot sub thinking I would be able to get topping put on but no, the subs came out wrapped. And at this time the line had gotten very long and I didn't want to wait in the line and have my sub get cold. I am sorry to say we will not be coming back. I guess we will try another location and hope they are better.

I waited by the cash register for several minutes as thee staff carried on a lively conversation. as I started to leave a young lady said I can help you down here if you are ready to order. No signage and I was the only customer. After paying for a mini and drink I ate and left. Exorbitant prices $ more than a subway 6” and smaller. I give the chain a chance but too much better competition out there to return Order
