The Mediterranean menu is outstanding. Even on a cold, stormy Tuesday, the place was in demand…and for good reason. We loved our time there. Eager to return for a patio evening while the sun sets over the lake.

Visit: 03/22/2024Reason: VacationGroup size: 7 with reservationsDishes ordered: Sweet potato curry soup, Pesto flatbread, Chickpea salad with added chk, Couscous salad with added chk,Branzino, Scallops, Lamb lollipops,Bruschetta trio, Schwarma, Bistro steak sliders,Mushroom pesto risotto, side Kalamata olivesPros: Pleasing to the eye restaurant, clean, with open window views of the lake which sits across the street. In the summer season the area is a busting beach front of cars and people. The food was spectacular and a great balance of flavors and textures. It came out paced evenly. The specials complimented the menu, which had a good variety of dishes.Cons: I always hate to give Cons, but feel it is valuable feedback. We were not impressed by our server for a fine dining establishment. The knowledge of the menu and selling ability was not as it should be. Communication and presentation at the table was not inviting, hard to hear, and somewhat confusing. It was not the warm Greek atmosphere we expected. The first words we were greeted with were, "Hi, can I get you a drink?..." "We have those- points to menu...and soda." Whereas, I may have led in with " Hi! Welcome to our restaurant is there a special occasion tonight that you may be celebrating?! Oh, where are you from? Have you ever been here before? Are you familiar with our small plate/tapa style dishes?.... We have some great specials tonight! Would you like to hear about them? Our server did admit that she hasn't worked for 4 months and acted too calm almost tired. They didn't fully know everything about the dishes, which was honest. Our first experience with small plate dining as a full family (instead of just a couple) was awkward. We needed someone confident to explain the specials and help us order so that everyone was able to try enough of the dish, and which ones would be hard to divide ourselves at the table. (ex. flatbread).Suggestions would have been helpful to our group such as, " with your size group I would order 2 of these because as you see..." " or "I think you may want to order a side of pita with instead, 2 orders of Schwarma, it's one of our best sellers and everyone will want a nice portion, I'm sure."We weren't sure how much to order so that everyone could have a hearty bite and was relying on the server to help us more confidently and not be so disengaged. With spending approx. 38.00 per meal, some still left hungry, and that made me sad. I wanted everyone this evening to feel like it was their best fulfilling meal ever despite cost. (We only took home a serving of pesto risotto because most didn't like pesto; This reviewer loved it!)We were sent away with a nice friendly goodbye from the bartender, but a terrible smoke-filled restaurant accident from the kitchen. Oye! Thankfully at that time we didn't stay to order dessert and stopped at the Chocolate factory for ice cream instead.Although somewhat negative remarks, I would still choose to bring a friend back to this restaurant for a nice lunch. The warm couscous salad with the added chicken was divine, along with the nice location.

I so much wanted to like this lovely little bistro and we arrived to a cute atmosphere with very few tables and a small bar. I felt it was very much like a taverna in Greece or Italy, which I like. I ordered the sliders and they were very tasty, and the charcuterie board was a hit with the others. The wine selection looked good too. There were going to be 5 of us and as 3 of us arrived earlier than the last two the server started to tell us about the menu and options. When I asked her to wait for the others to arrive she continued anyway. Many tables were filled and the noise level was a bit much when added to the server's heavy accent. (Having an accent does not bother me so please don't take offense at this.) We all were unsure of what she had told us, but determined she was explaining the small dish sharing idea to us. When I asked for a Moscato wine she told me it was really sweet and actually seemed put off when I said that this is what I like. The small dishes do not come out at the same time and when the first one arrived we were told to start eating and not to wait. This was not a dish we were planning to share so we waited for the other dishes to arrive, about 4-5 minutes later, and again one by one.It just seemed like a lot of instructions were given to us and the server had no hesitation to continuously reach in front of my sister to get to dishes, stopping all conversation as she did so.I am mixed about the evening. Everyone meant well, the food was good but for us it was not the evening of quiet conversations that we had hoped for.Parking: This bistro is across from the beach so n the summer the street parking is regularly packed. There is a lot in the back that helps.

The food, wine, and service was outstanding! The only detractor in the atmosphere was the acoustics - many people in a space not adequately designed for sound absorption.

What a wonderful gem of a restaurant! The service, cozy atmosphere and food were all incredible. Went for an early birthday dinner with a friend who raved about the Mediterranean salad and it did not disappoint. The soup, I believe was a Sweet potato curry and I think was my favorite (ok it tied for first but that turtle cheesecake though) and the special of lamb lollypops over mushroom risotto along with the tricolore made for a feast. All of it was flavorful and fresh. I cannot wait to go back and try some more. Highly highly recommend reservations as it filled up quick and with good reason

This was our second visit. The first visit was shortly after they opened and we were under whelmed. The foos first time was inconsistent. This visit was so much better. We went on a busy Saturday night but they handled the crowd well. Every plate we had was very good. The Tuna Crudo was excellent, the Steak was tasty , Crab cakes excellent and the pear Salad was fantastic. Great meal and great service. Impressed!

Would love to come here again. Food was nice, although slightly limited selection of anything custom. Full service bar and wine not stored in the sunlight would help exceed expectations. Portions are large and easily shared.

Friendly staff, the ahi tuna salad was delicious! We got the steak sliders and they were mouth watering. Beautiful view. The ambiance was warm, chill, & soft music in the background. I would come back

We went with some friends for dinner and shared some plates. Loved the crab cakes. Risotto was average - Tuna was great. This bistro was pretty small - seating was very close. It was also very loud - hard to hear each other. Looked like a great wine selection - I was in the mood for a cocktail - but they only served wine and beer.
