This is such a unique, welcoming space. The specialty drinks, and charcuterie are absolute fire. If you're looking for something elevated, and a bit more mature than the college bars, this is it. 100/10 Highly recommend.

I visited the soft opening for The Black Smock today and loved every single item I ordered.
Mushroom quiche - out of this world. Fluffy, and moist with a buttery crust.
Club sandwhich and side salad - so much flavor. The bread was like nothing I have ever had before and I was told it was handmade. The sauce and dressing on the salad complimented each other so well and the fresh fruit on the side was refreshing!
To finish it off, I had the Georgia Peach iced tea which I was told is sourced by then from someone local in Mineral Point, WI. It was super refreshing - not too sweet, not too tart.
100% will be making my way back ASAP.

This is a hidden gem. Went there tonight with my husband. It’s amazing. The two young bartenders were amazing. Suggested drinks, talked with us, gave us some background on the establishment and were genuinely nice. They could have served us and then went and played on their phones like most do. We are definitely going back. It is a must stop when in Platteville WI. Thank you!
