We have eaten here many times. Very inconsistent food quality. One time the food will be great then the next it is mediocre. The wife orders different sandwiches each visit depending on what she is in the mood for, but I stick to my favorite ... the Rueben. My Rueben will come with well toasted bread one time and is excellent. Then I get those times where the bread isn't toasted very well or with a different type of bread and the sandwich will be soggy and blah. Even so ... we will continue to stop at Roadside most every time we pass through the area as the food is generally very good.

Went here on a Tuesday night while staying in town (Plymouth). we sat at the bar and was served promptly. I had the broasted chicken, which came with soup and potato of your choice. I also had a craft beer, they had a couple of tap. I had the chicken noodle soup (good), broasted potatoes (nice because I don't see them often when I eat out, and four pieces of all white meat (two breasts, two wings. Living in an area that is served by a chain of broasted chicken places and does an excellent job, I have probably a high, perhaps unrealistic standard of what broasted chicken should be. The chicken I had at the Roadside was good but not special. The wings weren't scrawny, but weren't plump, the breasts were about 15% smaller then the largest that I've seen, the skin was crisp but not the crispiest. Pretty good not great. It wasn't very expensive, so it had that going for it. The service was mostly very good, except it was hard to find someone when it was time to leave. I could see why it would have a good local clientele, the place is pretty going but very clean, not at all rustic. It's also the handiest dining option if you're staying at a place on/near Hwy 57, like I was. Just not a place to go out of your way to get to

I love visiting this bar! The owner and bartender are so welcoming and the food is amazing bar food! the decor reminds me of a late 90s rock bar while being SO comfortable. I visit again and again!

Nice clean place, fairly quick service, most soups are usually great (sometimes too cold, beware the chili has noodles in it, no option to not have noodles in the chili). There is an older guy (maybe the owner?) who is simply awesome! Excellent customer service! Sandwiches are great. You can get in and out pretty quick on a lunch hour even when the parking lot is full. Avoid the chef salad unless you have a long break. None of the veggies or eggs are diced up for you. You literally have to curt up everything with a butter knife, including the large chunks of lettuce that is larger than bite sized. The focus is on pretty, not practical.

Ok well COVID or not this was disgusting. I ordered a sandwich with fries. When the waitress brought it some of fries dropped on table. (Me being a germ freak even washed my hands after touching menu) I would not of eaten them nor touched them. Yet she grabbed them and put them back on my plate. That’s DISGUSTING!!! My kids have even been taught if it lands on the table it’s done, DONT EAT IT! So why would this waitress think that it’s ok to touch my food? I don’t know what she has touched. I don’t know if she coughed in her hand. I will never go back.
Met the owner today nicest guy around, good drinks, awesome bar!

We we greeted immediately upon entering and seated in a very comfortable booth. The waitress came promptly and took our drink orders and told us the specials. She returned quickly with our drinks and took our food order. Food came out hot and was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and the food very tasty.
