The service was excellent. The salmon was perfect. We would not recommend the walleye dinner. It was served with one piece of thin walleye with skin. By the time you removed the fish from the skin, there was very little to eat. Everything else was spot on including a nice wine list.

As a native German living in the southwestern U.S., I wish I could eat more often at The Depot. The German dishes are superb. Portions are large. And quality German beers are always on the drink menu! The meat is of a quantity that you probably will take part of your meal home. Especially since it is advisable to try an appetizer of potato pancakes. The Depot's version beats all of the other restaurants in the region that offer this item--by a wide margin.

Our table of five were not permitted to pay on 3 separate tickets. And since we had an odd number of guests the B1G1 deal was denied to the single of our group; even after she offered to get one meal to take home. So the single diner pays twice what the "couple" pays? You are penalized for not having a S.O.? I just don't get how that is "good customer service."

The schnitzel fries are delicious as is the pretzel. I usually order the steak (steak done perfect to order) and shrimp, or schnitzel. Everything is great. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and it was very good. Partner ordered the seafood alfredo and it was delicious. Tasted friend's sauerbraten and it was phenomenal (will be ordering it next time)

My daughter and her husband took me here when I was visiting. The hostess was especially kind when she noticed my baby granddaughter slouching in the highchair and offered a small pillow to offer support. It was a beautiful summer evening and we really enjoyed their outdoor seating area where we enjoyed favorites like their raspberry Moscow Mule and carrot cake, but first, we ordered the Weiner Schnitzel with Potato Pancakes which came with delicious red cabbage set in a flakey crisp biscuit. I cleaned my plate which I've never done before, lol. Look forward to visiting again :)
