Medium rare apparently means purple and squishy steak, hold the vegetables means mix the vegetables into your mashed potatoes, and once you send the steak back it comes back once again not medium rare but almost well done… rest of my family liked the food but I was highly disappointed in my filet mignon dinner.

Big mistake, never going back. First off, don't order the Cajun pasta. I'm no chef but I make a much better Cajun pasta myself. Imagine someone just puts a thin layer of sauce on the plate and dumps plain macaroni on top. No flavor, no seasoning and not much sauce. It was just slightly more flavor than plain cooked pasta. The shrimp had seasoning on it but that's the only thing flavored. The waiter we had was a man with a British accent who started off apologizing for the wait, no water and even said something to the effect of "it's hard to find good help these days" but decided instead of doing better for the rest of our meal it was going to continue to get worse. We were nothing but patient and understanding the entire hour and a half we were there. At one point he spent at least 20 minutes talking to another table while completely ignoring our table. This place was not busy at all, half the place was empty. No reason at all for the poor service or lack of service at all. Everything has to be asked for,... Water, oil for the bread (every other table had it), drink refills, water refills, a steak knife for my friends pork chop (the waiter said he would bring it but forgot), even at the end they didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert. Turns out they were running out of desserts anyway. This was a Saturday night around 6:30 when we arrived and right from the start they were out of calimari appetizers. Not having calimari wasn't bad enough but they actually tried to charge us for it. Had to send the check back to remove the non existent calimari. We were a table of four, two couples, separate checks. They had both of our checks mixed up. One other waitress spent a heck of a lot of time with her table chatting (pretty sure they were related) wasn't our waitress but when you are getting such poor or non existent service it tends to upset you to see other staff being over chatty while you are completely neglected by the waiter you had. The entire staff knows how bad we were neglected,... So much so the possible manager told us our waiter had a friend or family member pass away a week ago so that should excuse the poor service. Here's an idea,... Instead of having this guy come in and do such a poor job, give him whatever time he needs off to grieve his loss. After an hour and a half at this restaurant and all the issues we had you would think maybe they would comp a drink or do something to make up for the absolute crap show we experienced but you would be wrong. They did apologize but did nothing to rectify the situation. No discount, no offer to do anything to make it right. I am usually a great tipper. 20% on average, more if the service is exceptional. I have never left a zero dollar tip before tonight but that is exactly what they deserved. Never again will I go to this restaurant. I left knowing I would have gotten better food and better service at Culver's and it would have cost less than half the price I paid tonight.
Used to go all the time but they switched the menu so I left and never went back. If they bring the other menu back I’ll go back again. Because the food was good. But with the new menu nothing looks good.

It was the worst overpriced food ever for m. I really wanted to send it back to the kitchen and have it reimbursed. I ordered the special they had on tenderloin (steak Diane) priced at $38.00 and it was absolutely swimming in sauce as were the potatoes. I requested medium rare and I got well done. Over seasoned so much so that couldn’t even get the flavor of the steak or the potatoes. What are hiding? It was god awful! Never again. The waitress was very pleasant to my partner but absolutely avoided any kind of interaction with me. Even though I wanted to speak to her about my meal. more interested in my male partner every time she came over to the table for his opinion and out right avoided asking me how I felt about the food. Like I have no value or voice or opinion. That’s pure stupidity to think that women don’t have pocket books themselves. Go to a decent supper club in the area instead!

Haven't been here in years and sadly won't be back. Menu has really shrunk. The lobster bisque was amazing. Real good Italian bread.
Had a walnut salad. No walnuts... The Cajun shrimp came with 5 small , way overcooked tough shrimp. Ragout was delish. Salmon sadly was overcooked and rather dry. If I'm spending over fifty bucks a person, I expect everything to be very good. Which sadly was not the case

My wife and I ended up stopping here from out of town for our anniversary. Quite a disappointment. The food was not bad, but for what you pay for extremely small portions was not worth it. I think when they brought out our paltry portions, my wife and I both laughed to ourselves and wondered where the rest of it was… We have certainly found as good or better food elsewhere for considerably less, and actually provide you with a decent portion. we will definitely not go there again as we regretted wasting our anniversary meal there.

Have to be gluten free and they were huge in helping to accommodate me with that. Had Chicken Parmesan and they made it deliciously gluten free! Excellent restaurant!
Dietary restrictions: They are willing to work with you if you have to be gluten free!

Outstanding even with a group of 20! Highly recommend. Just outside of Elkhart Lakes. We had the beef special, and it was a great value.

Went recently. The food is great. Salmon over risotto & my hubby had shrimp scampi but what ruined our meal was the service. So slow. Bar lady was fine but our server left us sitting for 35 minutes before she brought us bread or anything to eat. I asked about some bread & was told it was in the oven but diners seated after us got bread while we waited another 10 plus minutes. And place was not busy. . And the menus were dirty. Mine had food caked on & they looked like they had been wet. Paper menus can be replaced. Fine dining? Not so much. Should have eaten in the bar. Some people did & they got there food right away. After dining here for many years not sure we will be back. Wish the previous owner (Dave) still owned the restaurant.
