Food is excellent, the ambiance is relaxing and beautiful. However, my last visit I was very disappointed in the service. A few times a year, we frequent this bakery as Port Washington has become our meeting point between Milwaukee and Manitowoc. We were there on Sunday January 21st, 2024 for breakfast/lunch. We had a group of 8 and we all ordered food and beverage. The food was excellent. I ordered 2 kid grill cheese sandwiches for my 8 year old and her friend and a delicious potato soup for me. Our buzzer went off and we brought our food back to the table, my daughter, as she took the first bite she said it didn't look like grilled cheese, but I said that they have fun fancy food here, it's yummy please eat it. Then to my surprise I realized there was a hot dog in the middle, it happened to be 'pigs in a blanket' and not the grilled cheese. I went back up to the service counter and mentioned that we ordered grilled cheese and not pigs in a blanket, she responded by saying, "I told my cook to make grilled cheese, sorry about that." At the table the rest of the group was already eating and the girls continued to eat the fruit from the basket and took a bite or 2 of the hot dog while we were waiting. The server came over and said we need to take the food away, if they wanted their grilled cheese, they needed to pass over the pigs in the blanket. I responded and said, oh I'm sorry they already took bites, we will just wait for the grilled cheese. Everything seemed fine. Then the cook proceeded to come over and would not give us the grilled cheese until we handed over the half eaten pigs in a blanket. I again, said I'm sorry I didn't understand why they needed the food back that they made incorrectly and my daughters friend happened to like the pigs in the blanket and would eat that along with her grilled cheese when finished. Erin, the cook responded it's company policy. I usually don't leave reviews but the way in which the situation was handled by the staff didn't seem right, especially involving food for 8 year old's. I have worked in the the food industry for many years and this visit left a bad 'taste' in my mouth.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches and pastries. We had a coffee cake, brioche donut, morning bun, and muffin. The muffin was a bit dry, but the morning bun was delicious and the coffee cake was also scrumptious. They also made a mean latte. The sinage is a bit vague. It is beside the BBQ place, sign on the window.
Cozy bakery and coffee shop! The pastries, coffee, and tea were delicious. Comfortable seating, it makes you want to linger all day. I wish I lived closer because I would stop every day.
We had the breakfast sandwich which was really good but the almond croissant was the most wonderful pastry I have had in a really long time. I would go back every day if I could!

Looks nice from outside, but the “niceness” ended upon entering and ordering breakfast. Ordering the baked oatmeal and small almond latte, I declined the yogurt, but asked for hot milk for the oatmeal, which needed it because the small portion of oatmeal was dry. The amount of hot milk provided was only about 2oz. So my husband requested hot milk for me. My latte also didn’t have a lot of almond milk, so I requested another 2oz. Of milk which was denied by the cashier/order taker because I reached my limit of ONE additional milk requests. Tacky! Even more so in light of the tip I added to my initial order. NEVER AGAIN!

Best coffee in port!! I’m a coffee snob and think their coffee is superior to anything close by. Baked goods and breakfast is the best as well. I just wish their name matched their open hours because I’d go there every day!
I absolutely love this place , had a great lunch there with a friend today.. the only feedback I have is the often run out of things really fast and I find that disappointing. The quality is there, However, there is room for improvement. While my sandwich was tasty, the bread was really tough. I find it outrageous that they charge five dollars for a baguette. When you pay $12 for a sandwich the bread should not be be tough to eat. The lady was taking our order was very nice and pleasant and welcoming to us. The side of fruit was absolutely wonderful and so was the chocolate croissant!

We tried Daily Bakery for breakfast. The coffee drinks and Chai Tea lattes were great. My wife had a Croissant and I had two filled doughnuts. Both were crazy good. The dough in the donuts was like nothing I’ve every had. We find when we discover a restaurant the meets and beats our expectations we will stick with it. Lunch was their vegetarian sandwich., and the apple prosciutto salad. Again both beat expectations. A great find.
