Don’t Drink the Water

We've tried this pub a handful of times. Food and service have always been average. Menu is limited and consists mainly of variations of pulled chicken on naan, but they have a great deck and the view of Lake Michigan is killer. So, on a nice warm Spring day we decided to give it another try. Our server started out and remained impatient and downright rude (Jen), not really sure why because in spite of her forgetting drinks several times, freaking out when we asked to include an order to go, and having an all around bad attitude, we remained kind and polite during the whole meal. The mac n' cheese was topped with cold pulled chicken (yuk) as were warm nachos. After $150 for 3 people including tip (yes, we did tip 18% because our experience was not the fault of the hostess, bartender, busser, or dishwasher), we will not go back.

Went in tonight to have a nice meal. Was left very disappointed. In our first interaction with our waitress she was hostile. We continued to be polite the entire evening while she continued to grow b*tchier everytime she came over. She forgot drinks several times and was not apologetic at all over it. She stood there watching while we completed the payment and snagged the machine out of our hands before we could even finish. Jen M, you should find something else to do for work if you can’t be a pleasant person.

Empty tables, but not enough servers. Had to wait to be seated. Very noisy! Dishes looked better than they tasted. Very weird access at the back of the bldg.

Came for lunch, had the BEST ONION RINGS EVER!!! Also had the Cuban sandwich, which was also amazing. Great service, can't wait to spend more time on the patio when it warms up.

We got the tempura cauliflower for an appetizer, which was good. I was surprised the sauce came on the side, I would have assumed it'd be tossed, but the portion size was generous and tasty. I got the hipster sandwich, which was a lot and definitely not able to be picked up. I feel like less is more with this dish. I don't think it needs as many toppings and it would still have been delicious. My husband got the Friday fish fry beer battered and smashed potatoes. The coleslaw was good and we're generally not coleslaw fans but the dill dressing made it stand out. The location is amazing, would return again.

Great lunch! We stopped in while visiting Port Washington for the day with our toddler. The nachos and BBQ Mac and cheese were delicious, the kids meal apple sauce was incredible (tastes like apple pie filling) but even better the service was excellent and very attentive and accommodating of kids. We look forward to stopping by again in the summer!

Heaven for G-Free / Celiac folk; same for everyone else! This is our Must-Stop anytime we pass by ( or our ONLY 45-minute date nite drive spot). Today, shared Breaded Chick Nuggets (*Chunks* of breast!) & fries, finished with key lime cheesecake. After having these fries, I don’t know what I’ve been eating all these years… But they could not have been fries! These were fabulously, crunchy, mildly seasoned, with a perfectly solid potato texture and taste inside. Similar, the chicken breast portions were moist and tender, with an exceptionally light thin coating. They assure us these were deep fried, but you would swear they were air fried absolutely fabulous! The chef special specialty being coming up constantly with new types of cheesecake – as usual – always to die for. We even ordered two more pieces to go!

You will struggle to pay more for a beer in Port, than you do here. By at least a few bucks. Each. If money means nothing to you, its a nice location and the beer is beer. Often, the staff is more concerned with their phones and eachother than anything else. Which is getting to be more common, so not really a fault unique to F&T. If the beer was cheaper and the food was better, it would be pretty easy to overlook that. Sadly, they are not.
