The server was OK but felt to say they charge you three dollars to share a plate now I’m a senior citizen and my daughter does not eat much. She’s disabled and they charge three dollars and didn’t even say that there was a charge. I thought that was ridiculous. I know three dollars is not a lot but you should tell customers And all they didn’t even split the plate. They just gave me a basket. They charged me three dollars for a basket not cool.
hire some bartenders with a personality, who know how to engage in conversation with folks.
Called to do pick up order & the person who answered was rude when he answered & then told me I was not allowed to do pick up orders today even though it states they do pick up orders. Even asked if I could come in to make a order & was told no not today. 😒
We absolutely LOVE Schooner Pub! The food is fantastic (even for a salad lover like me), the staff is wonderful and the vibe is truly a great bar experience. Can’t go wrong with this establishment!
Beautiful view! Food was good and service wonderful!
You cannot beat this place on food, atmosphere, or kind servers. My husband and I come here from Chicago every year just to get their blue cheese burger. Blue cheese often overpowers burgers, but their blue cheese sauce has the perfect balance of tang and creaminess while not overpowering the flavor of the perfectly seasoned beef. Brioche frequently disintegrates as a burger bun, especially on a saucy burger, but this one holds up perfectly. And an excellent French fry is really sets great bar food apart from just ok. Plus the outdoor patio overlooking the breezy marina is the place. And this time I got a mimosa, which they delivered in two separate glasses because they said, everyone like their mimosas a little different. I could not say enough about how much I love this unassuming but excellent restaurant. Delish!
I ordered the grouper sandwich, delicious and yummy but the fish pieces were very small, kind of disappointing. the coleslaw was awesome, the chips and fries were tasty, but the sandwich did not come with a pickle spear like the menu said it would. waitstaff was friendly but could have been more attentive... it was a hot day and I could've used a water refill. great view from the back balcony though!
Our favorite place for great food and beers in a historic building.
Great view, helpful and empathetic server, sub-par food. Careful if you want condiments. Asked for hot sauce for grouper sandwich and got a .50 charge on bill. Manager less than enthusiast about what I had to share.
If you're lucky enough to find yourself in the charming lakeside town of Port Washington, your voyage isn't complete without setting sail for the Schooner Pub. Calling it our "favorite place" feels like an understatement – it's more like a cherished harbor, a reliable beacon of fantastic food, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that truly captures the spirit of this beautiful coastal community. Let's start with the star of the show: that view! Perched perfectly to overlook the shimmering expanse of Lake Michigan, every seat in the Schooner Pub feels like a front-row ticket to nature's daily spectacle. Whether it's the vibrant hues of a sunrise painting the water, the gentle sway of sailboats in the afternoon breeze, or the tranquil glow of twilight reflecting off the waves, the panoramic vista is simply breathtaking. It's the kind of view that instantly melts away stress and invites you to linger a little longer. But the Schooner Pub is far more than just a pretty face. The service here is consistently outstanding. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with genuine warmth and a welcoming smile. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always ready with a helpful suggestion or a friendly chat. They strike that perfect balance of being professional yet personable, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. It's the kind of service that makes you want to return again and again. And then there's the food. Oh, the food! The Schooner Pub's menu is a delightful blend of classic pub fare elevated with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a creative touch. Whether you're craving a perfectly cooked burger, fresh seafood that tastes like it was just plucked from the lake, or one of their daily specials, you're in for a treat. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. It's the kind of food that satisfies your hunger and delights your taste buds. Finally, the atmosphere of the Schooner Pub is simply magical. It's cozy and inviting, with a comfortable, unpretentious vibe that makes everyone feel at home. The nautical touches throughout the decor subtly nod to Port Washington's maritime heritage without being overly themed. Whether you're enjoying a quiet drink at the bar, sharing a meal with friends, or simply soaking in the view from a window seat, there's a sense of relaxed conviviality that makes the Schooner Pub truly special. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, celebrate a special occasion, or simply enjoy the company of good people in a beautiful setting. In conclusion, the Schooner Pub isn't just a place to eat and drink; it's an experience. It's the stunning water view that takes your breath away, the exceptional service that makes you feel like family, the delicious food that satisfies your cravings, and the welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day. If you're in Port Washington and looking for a truly fantastic pub experience, look no further than the Schooner Pub. It's a true gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough!

We enjoyed a delicious grouper fish sandwich with onion rings and iced tea for lunch. We sat at a table on the second floor with a beautiful view of the marina and lake! It was outstanding!

Always a 10/10 gotta recommend. The atmosphere is welcome to a variety of people pending the day and time of the week. Live music, good food, friendly service, and fairly priced. Perfect place to take people from out of town as you can also get a great lake view! Definitely try their wings, or even the tenders, personal favorites of mine.

Decent food with good prices. The outside patio doesn't have AC and flies were everywhere.
Terrible! I hate to complain and this is the first review I have ever given but I just have to voice how bad this was. 1. Ordered drinks and the waitress didn’t come back until after the table next to us (they got seated after us by a different waitress) already ordered their food. 2. Got the food and I ordered the grouper sandwich. Literally 3 bites of fish, half of which was breading. I would be embarrassed to serve that small of a portion. My son got the ceasar salad with chicken and that came out in a small plastic container, again small portions. Another person got the French dip and it was dry with small amount of meat. 3. Waitress never came back! I had to ask the other waitress where she went after we were done eating and I was told there was a shift change. This was at 6:15. The table next to us ( different table then above but same waitress we had ) ordered before us and they never got a visit from her either. When we left they were still waiting for their check. Absolutely terrible management if there really was a shift change! It’s a shame as we had a nice view out on the terrace. Will never go back.
We tried this place because of the patio overlooking the marina. Nice selection of beer and the food and service were good but not outstanding. Prices were midrange, $20-$30 per person for a basic meal and 1 beer. I used a credit card to pay.
The payment screen, presented at our table by the waitress, listed tip options beginning at 20% and going up from there. A custom tip option was available. They added a 3% fee for using a credit card. On the bill, they listed at the bottom “Suggested Additional Tip” amounts to leave on top of the tip you already added.
