The Beacon Restaurant & Bar

This is the second time for a fish fry. Food is excellent. Service and bar are very good. Excited to try another evening for menu items other than Friday Fish Fry. I did hear a gent on another table table that his filet was like prime rib. Wow for me that us a huge plus too come back!

They have a nice bar atmosphere right on the harbor. For my entrée, I ordered the prime rib. It had really great flavor, was super meaty, and had plenty of juice that made each bite rich without being too heavy. The fries were also excellent. They were super crispy with a tasty interior.

I don't recommend this place, I waited 30 minutes before someone came to take my order.

Could not accommodate a dairy allergy, had pre-made veggies with butter. Used salad oil to dip my bread. Meh.

I was able to visit during the off-season. It was slow and not occupied but yet I got the best service. I remember that food for a long time.

Nice breakfast, egg Benedict were little overcooked but the Captains breakfast were 😋 as well as ommelette, service excellent as usual

Was in Port Washington for a short weekend and one morning stopped in for a breakfast at the Beacon . It is part of the hotel on the ground floor . It was fairly busy for a breakfast but we were seated immediately no wait . Staff seemed a bit backed up but they did a good job and quickly took our order . Food is good . I wasn’t too hungry so a basic avocado toast with a side of fruit and coffee is all I needed . Tasted good . There is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant/ hotel which is a plus .

Dinner date blessed me with a trip for a meal here … I’ve been meaning to stop in here for the last two years but the timing never panned out. Super thankful for the fun evening and great eats. A feast for the eyes and the tummy sitting waterside. Love it!

We were staying in the hotel and we decided to try The Beacon since it was on site and it was raining. What a wonderful turn of events, the food was very good and the staff was wonderful. They were very friendly, didn't just greet us and take our oder, they spoke to us and made us feel at home. We had the Primerib and the Chicken Marsala, paired with seasonal veggies, salad with home made dressing (Ranch & Blue cheese). A great meal!

This is a great location in downtown Port Washington. It has nice views of the harbour. The food is fresh, hot, and good portions. The service was always friendly and prompt. There is an outdoor patio and plenty of indoor space. There is a nice bar area if you are looking for a place that is a little less busy than some of the other bar / restaurants in the area.
