Food was great. Monday burger night is awesome.

Service was not good. Server never said hi. Took our order never came back, accept to give us our bill. We had two people at the table got a small glass of water that was never refilled.

Server dropped off the cc machine, did not ask how was our meal, if we needed anything… not a word. Five min later they walked by and picked up the cc machine… never said a word.

Again, food was great and fast on a busy night! Just don’t expect great service. Unfortunate.

We had dinner here. The Ruben I got was delicious. I had asked for onion rings but apparently was not heard (to be fair it was VERY loud. Definitely could have turnes the music down a bit. Anyways, it came with fries, I was not a fan. They were shoe string style. My husband said his burger was also awesome.

1st time here. Had the full fish dinner.
Hamburger was very tasty. I would come back again. Beans were not fully cooked but great tasting anyhow. Waitress was very lovable. Thank you for a great place to eat.

The fish is back to how it was in the good old Valley days, prefer the vinegar based slaw though

Good food. So busy and like many little neighborhood bar restaurants it's tough estimating crowds. A play at the local high school left many people looking for food!

One of our favorite places for breakfast. Always have great service and food is delish!!

Ordered takeout...10 piece fish, large tartar sauce and two orders of fries. The fish was horribly greasy and the 'french fries' looked like shoestring potatoes...no joke. French fries were tough and I wouldn't even consider them french fries. 60 bucks for that ? Nope !

Most reviews on here seem a little outdated so I'm writing this one now. The FISH FRY is simply not what it once was... sorry to say! The fish during Lent used to be was worth every penny and was always a memorable experience. Not any more! New owners, new pricing, new format for seating and paying. Not to mention, wait staff is inattentive, at best. For a fish fry event during Lent to come in at $55 and change is outrageous! WILL NOT BE BACK FOR THE LENT FISH FRY - SORRY!

As time goes on, things change.
They no longer have a Chicken Fry on Sundays since before Covid. The Friday Fish Fry is okay. It's only during Lent.
This place still has great service; but it just isn't a great as it used to be.

Valley Bar and Grill continues its long-standing Tradition of Food, Drinks and Service to customers from near and far. Our two families have been making regular trips from the Minneapolis area, since the 1970's. The people are not just employees, but they are like old friends.....Don't let this Country Business pass you by. Well worth the trip!!!

My husband and I enjoy finding "local hidden gems" for a good breakfast or burger. This place was NOT it. His #19 breakfast was mediocre at best, with the "fake" american fries seen in some of the chain restaurants. His sausage gravy had no sausage in it, and overall it was barely warm enough to consume. I ordered just some bacon and eggs. The bacon was crispy (which I normally like), but it had a weird aftertaste like it was some really cheap brand. The eggs were done as I specified (over-medium), but I think the grill was too hot or maybe needed cleaning, because they were browned more than what you'd normally see in a restaurant. There was only one waitress covering the bar and a HUGE seating area, BUT there were only 2 other tables occupied at the time, one a small group, one a bigger group. When she brought our food, she'd said she would come back with a coffee refill, but she was so busy with doing mixed drinks, that she didn't get back to us, till we were nearly done. It was also kind of chilly in there, and I ended up leaving my winter coat on. I would tell anyone to not waste their time. Kinni Cafe in River Falls or Kitchen Table in Prescott are both much better choices. We will work our way up into Ellsworth eventually and will maybe find something a little better.
