When there is a line of locals going around the corner that should tell you something. We share one 9 inch roast beef and cheese sandwich which was perfect for us. The variety of sauces and spreads was good but the main distinction for this sandwich was the French roll. Definitely would return to a sandwich with that roll.

If you don't think this is the best sandwhich in Racine, you haven't been here. They are a neighborhood and area favorite. The quality is high (Paiellis bread) and everything is fresh, fresh fresh. This our favorite place for hot or cold subs.(try the rueban, its' great)

This place has been running since at least the 60's! The food is fresh, made to order and always good! Sub sandwiches, breakfast entree's even catering. This place is survived all these years because of the quality. Enjoy!!

Average sandwich. For a deli, I expected a lot better. This is nothing more than an average sandwich shop - not even as good as Subway.

Stopped at Lee;s deli on a Wednesday evening about 6:45. There were three people in the place paying fore orders. Went to the back area where you place your orders and picked out a sub and an order of onion rings. Gave them my name. Walked around the store as I haven't been there in a decade because I don't live near here. Another couple came in and ordered from the back area and walked around as I had. There were FOUR employees messing around and arguing about who was to do what and what they anted to be doing. One was complaining to another that a recent customer had called in complaining that the potato salad didn't taste good and thought it might have been old. Both the arguing and comments would not be something I would want my employees doing/saying as customers were in hearing and seeing distance, Another couple came in, ordered/waited. One of the staff yelled out does anyone have a call in order. The first couple replied they did and said they had ordered two additional subs to go with the seven call in order. Soon after someone from the back kitchen area brought out a container I assumed was my onion rings and set them on the front counter. The couple opened this up and showed it to the staff and they told them it was from a different order/MINE! One boy then set three subs on the counter and two other boys argued about who would check them out. One boy with an arm swing won the battle and proceeded to ring up the orders. He then placed all the subs in two bags while dropping two and received help from the second boy. Then they called out the name Jim and the second couple that came in went up and paid for their sandwiches. This has now been over ten minutes. After Jim and the first couple left the boy looked at me and said "Would you like to place an order" I asked if they did not have a sandwich made for me already and he said no. The other boy said " I think you gave his sub to the couple with the call in order" iiCOMMENTED THAT i HAD BEEN THERE OVER TEN MINUTES AND THEY COULD KEEP THEIR SUBS AND LEFT. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes in these cases and am very happy that these boys do not work for me as I am a prior owner of a sandwich shop. I won't go back!!!

We've tried these deli sandwiches a few times. I can't say they are the best I've had - my biggest complaint is the thin Italian bread. The fillings fall off and get messy. I'd like a thick, crusty Italian bread that holds everything in place. Plus, the most recent visit was disappointing since they were out of kosher deli pickles. Can't have a good deli sandwich without a good dill pickle!
