Stopped for the first time last weekend. They were a little short staffed but the waitress did a good job. We got the brisket platter & sausage platter, mostly because we wanted to try the sides. The brisket was just ok, not much bark or smoky flavor. The sausage links were dry & over cooked (also small portions for both). The Mac & cheese was bland, the cornbread dry & bland. The duck fat fries were ok & the street corn salad was probably the best thing. When the bill came, they’d were up chargers for all 4 sides, which was not clear on the menu. The patter comes with 2 sides that you apparently have to pay extra for. Not worth the $50+ we’re dropped. Doubt we will be back, disappointed

They did not have two of the meals that were ordered One meal came with over hard cooked eggs when over easy were ordered and the pancakes were supposed to have 4 in the order and only three were served and the blueberry sauce was over cooked. Potato options were given but I was not informed that the cheese hash browns were an up charge My first and probably last visit ! Pricey

First, posted hours are in correct. We were there during the 2 hours they say they are closed. They do smoke/cook onsite, was sad to see more white smoke escaping from the chamber, then out of the stack.I ordered the combo plate with brisket, pulled pork (which was actually chunks), sausage. I had street corn, and duck fat fries(other reviewers said they were the best ever).I will preface this by saying, I have eaten BBQ from all over. The sausage was the best part of the meal. A little smoke heavy for some, tender. Not the juiciest, but good. Both the brisket and pork showed good signs of bark. No evidence of a smoke ring on the brisket. The pork should signs of not having long enough to render internal fats and connective tissues as did the brisket. As far as flavor, I was sadly disappointed. While the bark looked good, I expected a slight saltiness. There was not,on both brisket and pork. The fries are nothing special, seasoned with salt and parmesan cheese. The street corn was ok as well. They did bring us 4 bottles of sauces, 2 were marked and 2 were not. 1 may have even been ketchup, we are not sure, nor did we ask.Upside, this is on the second floor of an Indian Motorcycle dealership, so you can look at some nice bikes if your seated on the inside ring. Our server was pleasant and friendly.

If you are looking for authentic southern smoked meats, you will not be disappointed in the selections from the Blue Bear Que.We are big fans of the Blue Bear and now we have added the Que to the list.Have a drink. Have some great conversations. Enjoy the view of the showroom. Brace yourself for the Smoked Deviled Eggs, the Cornbread Hush Puppies and the tremendous All Meat platter

Several items were unavailable, which if it was busy, I can understand. It was extremely slow. Watermelon margarita is horrible. Tasted like stale dishwater. The cheesy hash is supposed to have a Gouda cheese sauce and cheddar cheese, as it was explained to me. No Gouda sauce, shredded cheddar only, and a $2 up charge that was not told to me in advance. Not an example of what Blue Bear typically stands for. Disappointed and won't be back.

We were very excited to try Blue Bear for Sunday breakfast. It's a bit pricey compared to other local breakfast places, hoped food would be great! So disappointed. We were served an old dried up pecan roll; airport food quality eggs. We asked for a ham and cheese omelet and received brisket and cheese. When we were all done eating, our potatoes and bacon were then served to us. Both were pretty good. We will not be going back. I'm sorry to say, it was by far the worst breakfast I have ever had in town.

They were short staffed, but our waitress was hustling & was good. Pretty empty on a Saturday evening. The food was so so. I've had better bbq at multiple places & their serving size for the meats was small (sausage links were overdone). The plates said it includes 2 sides but all the sides have an up charge of $1-$2. Doubt I'd be back.

Our waitress was good but overworked and thus couldn't provide the service she probably normally can. My food was overcooked. Disappointing compared to my Blue Bear experience. The potential is there. We're rooting for you!

Mother's Day brunch at the new location of Blue Bear Que. Blue Bear has always offered great smoked BBQ and farm-to-table entrees, sides and desserts, and there is no letdown in food quality with their move to The Nash building in downtown Racine, WI. The restaurant is in the atrium of the Indian motorcycle dealer, with great views of classic bikes while you eat. Sunday brunch was fantastic, from the drinks to the entrees. The smoked pork hash was particularly good! Looking forward to my next visit!

SO upset! After searching everywhere for soups I found blue bear under recommendations on Google I myself being a an advanced chef am out of commission from cooking with a right broken arm. Soup right now is essential to me due to me. I'm very I'll unfortunately. I called and was ecstatic to find out they had 8 different flavors and they all seemed to full of amazing meats vegetables. My daughter ordered 6 different quarts at the high end price of $11.55 EACH yes I said that. almost $12 for a quarter of soup however again these soups sounded packed with incredible mixes. We have now made 4 of the 6 soups and every soup tastes horrible. absolutely terrible 😞 we still have 2 in the freezer. the 4 we made after trying them we scooped them back into their containers to prove we didn't eat them and took pictures. Biggest loss in money I've ever accounted for. just because you want to use up your leftovers Blue bear doesn't mean throwing them in all together is going to make the soup taste good. specifically if your base or broth doesn't complement it.
