Our family attended the Easter Sunday supper, which had a lovely setting and a stunning view of Lake Michigan. Very old carpeting and décor, and the margarita was poor because it was prepared with a mixer rather than fresh ingredients. My father-in-law was given a wine glass that had lipstick stains on it since it had not been thoroughly cleaned. Expensive menu considering the quantity and quality of the meal served. My fiancé got food poisoning; my review rating is a reflection of what the lamb dish caused to him. He's been ill to his stomach since midnight. It appears that this was a reheat or some form of old meat, so perhaps the owner can keep the kitchen staff in check when it comes to properly discarding bad meat or preparing a meal with old meat.

Brought the family here for a meal. Food was good, had prime rib, which was tender and lots of flavor. Service and ambiance was the highlight. Reservations needed for large parties, you'll love it!!

The service was great. The atmosphere was nice as well. The food was kind of bland. There was minimal seasoning and the only thing that had salt was the French onion soup. Also, if you don't eat meat you will not have any soup options. The spinach salad is literally just spinach with a warm vinaigrette, cooked onions and bacon bits. I expected some sort of toppings on the salad. The portions are ridiculously small. For example, I received just a few pieces of coleslaw rolled in a small ball. It looked more like garnish, but it had dressing on it. That is the only way I could tell it was not a garnish. The potatoes au gratin were very bland and came in a dish as small as a sauce cup. I think the actual sauce cups looked bigger. You will receive one roll per person with half a stick of butter. I could not understand that. They also quickly take the bread basket away. I had two small crab cakes with little flavor or crab and that was $38. My husband had the stuffed pork chop that was mostly a large bone. I had a martini that just did not taste right, so I only had one. We ended up skipping dessert. I wanted to love this place. I heard such great things, but maybe something changed. I was disappointed. I don't think I will be going back any time soon. You can give it a try, but it is not cheap.Vegetarian options: The soups are all meat based. The spinach salad has bacon in it and I do not recall seeing that on the menu. Not a vegetarian friendly restaurant.

Disappointing experience. It’s a bit confusing that there are so many positive reviews because there is SO much opportunity for improvement here. From the outdated/gaudy decor to the $2.75 per glass of club soda, to the poor wine selection, incorrect bill and out of stock items, there was so many things I wish were different. The French onion soup was okay but oversalted. The crabcakes were not cakes at all—they were giant soggy crab balls. The fries were not hot or crispy, and there was an up-charge for nearly everything our party ordered. The service was fine but not great, and the view was good—we were able to see the lake from our table. Thank goodness we had great conversation and were able to enjoy each other because the restaurant itself was not a positive experience.

Been awhile since I was at the Hob Knob. And I remember why. Bad and dated. The food was over priced and the service very very slow. To be honest I have had better steaks with more flavor at the Texas Road House. Time for a change at this place. Hopefully the new owner make some big changes.

Food was cold when we finally got it. Long wait time for food. Highly expensive. Waitress good and was apologetic.

Went for valentines dinner. Have always enjoyed this environment. Was very sadly disappointed. Prices continue to go up Service seems to be less attention to detail was last in portion sizes keep Shrinking. Yeah, I’m crying potatoes were smaller and the spinach salad is smaller prices haven’t changed Service has gotten worse the hostess spends most her time running around looking important and the weight staff seems to be tripping over themselves blocking customers or running into them. The bathroom had thrash can overflow. We order a to go dinner when we ordered our dinner. It arrived before our salads and sat there through our meal. Not fine dining. So disappointed.

We had an amazing dinner. We arrived a little early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. We had a reservation for dinner and we were seated promptly inside the main dining area. Our waiter was very pleasant. This is the first time we didn’t order a steak dinner. We both chose seafood and we both agreed it was fabulous. No room for dessert. Recommend making a reservation it gets busy.

Service was ok. But for the prices.. better attention should be offended. Missing silverware, no checking in between courses...minor. but makes a huge impact.

I had always wanted to try this restaurant and I should have left it like that. Best part was the Old Fashioned drinks. We ordered mussels for the table, many of them were bad. I ordered duck. It was cooked to a dried out mess, super disappointing. Probably should have gone with beef but I rarely get to eat duck and thought for the price I would get a high quality meal. The rest of the table of 6 was hit and miss. All of us agreed we didn't need to come back.

It was everything we heard and more! Hob Nob is located lakeside with breathtaking views. From the moment we entered, we knew it was going to be an excellent "supper club" evening. The atmosphere, the people, the cocktails, dinner, and the decor were outstanding. After all, who doesn't like hearing a little Sinatra while sipping on an Old Fashioned and enjoying a great night ?
