Look, people forget how hard it is to satisfy folks on all avenues. You don’t come here for the service, you order at the bar, and have to bring your own food to the table. But who cares when this is so good, how many times have you gone to an establishment and you get “great service” but the food is “mid” or just “decent”. You want good food, come here. You want a plate that you can enjoy for the whole day and have some left overs? Come here. Thank you Island Jam, don’t listen to these people, we come here for the FOOD not for service or anything else.

Ordered large oxtails plate with side of plantains…terrible, warmed in some places cold in others entire platter. Cabbage red beans and rice with the oxtails, plantains cold not even fresh, nothing WAS!!!!

This is a place you go with the intention of waiting a good while for a very unique plate of authentic Jamaican food.
Pull in the back of the building and walk to the bar to place your order then get comfy for a minute.
You’ll be entertained by local Jamaican artist videos on tv. The restaurant is dark and decorated in Black, Yellow and Green with wooden hand carved tables and booths.
So they may not be the best in class for customer service, but you’ll get generous portions of food in a cuisine you wouldn’t likely cook often at home.
The physical building has not been updated in years but you’ll get what you came for and you won’t be hungry.

Placed a pickup order at 6:47 arrived at 7:47 and the food was still not ready. Waited around and the wait was horrible because the old short hair owner lady was RUDE and clueless. Could not give an estimate on how much longer the wait would be, spoke with an attitude and just honestly was very bitchy during interaction I had with her. I waited an extra 20 minutes which was fine but would’ve been nice to know that way I could’ve sat in my car. The food however made up for the crappy service it was so fresh and good! I came all the way from Milwaukee so I’m happy with the freshness and quality. Not sure if I’d go back with that kinda service tho.

I'm a Door Dasher, and this is the absolute WORST place to pick up!! Twice I waited more than 20 minutes for an order, and the second time we were kicked out for simply asking how much longer it would take to get the food after waiting nearly 30 minutes. There are literally 2 people working the entire restaurant. Walk in and you'll see 7-8 deliver drivers just waiting at the bar... or finally getting sick of the attitude from the woman working the counter and just canceling the order and leaving. They don't care. In fact, the made it clear they hated Door Dash orders, so they have no priority for those orders at all. If you're a Dasher, I highly recommend turning any and all orders down from this restaurant because it'll mess up your whole night as you wait with the rest of the deliver drivers at the bar, in an empty restaurant. The woman working there (possibly the owner) is incompetent, ignorant and rude, and unnervingly uncaring about customer satisfaction. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!! As Dashers, we're done dealing with this nutty lady. Ask orders i receive for this restaurant will be turned down!!

Terrible, awful, racist restaurant!! The owner ignores you if you're white, doesn't care if they lose your business, and in fact, made it clear she doesn't want it. I'm recommending to Door Dash that they drop them off their delivery roster. I've waited twice for a DD order for more than 20 minutes. Ask about the order and she kicks you out. This woman doesn't deserve anyone's business. I hear the food is great, but it's not worth being discriminated for. NOTHING is; and this woman is a hateful, nasty bigot.

Had pepper steak and jerk chicken. Both outstanding and well spiced. Portions were generous. A down home place with food served in carryout containers. Worth the trip for the great food. Service was good. Be nice. If you're rude or impatient don't expect much in return.

Flavor is spot on ! But the small bones in the chicken are really dangerous and easily to choke on as i did ... the inside of the restaurant could use some updating but good color choice the service is kind of slow and takes a while for food if.
These things were to be approved upon it would be through best Jamaican restrants in Wisconsin

Customer service is terrible very rude and I never been to a place where I ask for something extra and welling to pay and the place has a lot of what you asking for it and you tell the customer no if you paying you should always get what you want I wouldn’t refer this hole in the wall to anyone and food is not that good
