Stopped here quick for lunch and was expecting your run of the mill taco place… I was pleasantly surprised! I just got the steak taco lunch special and I must say, I immediately took a picture and planned a review after my first bite. The corn shells were fried perfectly! Had that perfect crisp to them but not too much and not soggy from the oil either. The steak was very flavorful and tender and the onions and cilantro you could just tell were fresh. That had that nice crisp to them! The rice was nothing to write home about but it was not bad by any means! I will definitely be coming here again, especially for the menu prices which I feel are extremely fair. I especially look forward to trying the breakfast.

I had the Torta Cubana and recommend it 100% the flavors are just amazing!!! The service was great! The reason atmosphere wasnt 5 stars is its not very inviting. Its sort of like a hole in the wall joint. But everything else was amazing so overall 5 stars!

I ordered the Steak Breakfast Burrito today, and while it was tasty, I was taken aback by the price—$15 for just the burrito. I expected it to come with some sides, like rice and beans or hashbrowns, especially since it's listed on Grubhub as a Breakfast Plate. Everywhere else I've ordered a breakfast burritos, it usually includes some sides. Paying $15 for just a burrito seems excessive.

I always find it difficult to leave negative feedback, especially when it comes to a disappointing meal experience. with my recent order, I ordered steak tacos with guacamole and chips. It seems like it might have been an off day for the cooks, but I'm open to giving them another chance. The steak tacos were quite small, and the steak itself seemed boiled and lacked flavor. Similarly, the guacamole was bland, missing the essential elements of lime, salt, pepper, and onion. The chips were also unsalted and stale, which further detracted from the overall experience.

I visited the restaurant on July 2, 2024, and paid for my order, only to realize that I was charged three times for the same order.
I informed the cashier, she contacted the owner who claimed that no such errors were common and assured me that my card was not charged.
The next day, I contacted my bank. I was told that, I was indeed charged three times for the order.
Despite contacting the restaurant, the owner has not reached out to resolve the issue, which I find unprofessional. I have decided not to return to this restaurant in the future.

I wanted to try something new after hearing all the rave reviews, so I decided to give their enchiladas Rojas a try. However, upon opening the box, I discovered that the enchiladas were actually covered in Verde sauce. I'm thankful I noticed this before eating because I'm allergic to tomatillos. It was disappointing to have the whole meal go to waste. It seems your staff should be more attentive to these details. I laugh because they even highlighted Rojas.

this is by far our favorite Mexican restaurant in Racine. They cook authentic delicious breakfast and lunch. it is perfect for us being as my husband is a third shift worker. he can come here at 8:00 a.m. and get an ice cold Corona and a steak burrito and I can get a delicious breakfast. We love hearing about the little town in Mexico that the owners are from from their daughter that runs the front part of the restaurant. You can't get more authentic Mexican cooking and love from this family-owned restaurant.

Best Mexican food in the area and at this point, I won't order from anywhere else. Ixtapan is consistent in their quality and you can't go wrong with any choice of taco. SO GOOD.
