This was my first visit here.Some of the previous reviews may lead to the wrong expectations; for example they don’t have beer any more, but they DO have high grade hand made soap! (They moved locations in the past couple years. )The ambience is nice. The record part owner (Jada) rotates the record stock with a stash she has in her basement, so as not to have an overwhelming amount of records to go through at once. You have to come back later if you want to see something different. Fun!I browsed the records she had out, asked her to play them for me. I bought all but one of those. (Chet Atkins with orchestral back-up)When we were getting ready to go, she put on the next record in her stack; Detroit Cobras. I loved it; it’s punk. I asked to hear another cut from that one, it was good too. I asked how much the record was. “It’s my partner’s, I don’t know if it’s for sale.” She shouted over the wall to ask, and the answer was yes! (Even though it’s out of print)

I would call this a unique place for downtown Racine. It's a combination vinyl record store with a bar that serves a good variety of craft beer and wine. My husband and I love stopping in for a drink and checking out the music. They also have live music from time to time. If you're in the area check it out.

Fresh take on an old concept. The vinyl selection is sophisticated and approachable. The owners have an encyclopedic knowledge of all types of classic music, jazz, pop, blues, rock, new wave...even soundtracks and Morrissey. Strong beer and wine selection in an unpretentious atmosphere. Stop by for a beer and pick up a record - you find it is a much more intriguing option for happy hour versus the usual bar scene. Did I mention it is ok to bring kids?
