Fun place and the hibachi is great. There hasn't been any sushi for some time, though.

Tried a couple of sushi places.

This 1 is the best, especially bare bones, basic, simple predator fish nigiri style (yellowfin, snapper, tuna, etc.).

I hope she gets the fountain worked on outside; it looks like it would be bodacious!

Older server was rude and disappeared after giving our table our food. She than forgot to put in my to go order so I ended up waiting even longer. Definitely wouldn’t have tipped her but gratuity was added for longer groups.

Food was delicious, had the steak and chicken! The fried rice is the best in town, love the vegetables, soup and salad as well. Definitely enough for two meals. Highly recommend this fine restaurant!!!

Max group size is 6-7, otherwise they need to split your group in half. Can't/won't seat group until all members are there. Otherwise service was great. 120$ for 2 people (2024). Maybe I just don't like hibachi... The fried rice is to die for though.

DONT PATRONIZE SHOGUN RESTURANT!

Went to have a nice dinner tonight and as the hibachi cook made food for a table of 9 strangers he forgot to cook my steak for my meal? as he was giving out the cooked items my wife questioned “you forgot to cook a steak?” Of course he apologizes and states he would go get another and cook it. I told him the table and my wife would be done by the time my food is complete, and patronizing the resturant is about the experience which i did not get the opportunity to have. I asked if my meal could be removed from the bill? The waiter stated he would just charge me for the bowl of rice and the cooked veg that I received for $15!?

I asked to speak to the manager and he stated, “I should just pay the $15 if I was you.” I again politely asked if I could speak to the manager and he stated he would go talk to the manager. Once he returned and stated I should just pay the bill. I again asked if I could speak to the manager. He returned and stated the owner would not be coming out…. And missing an order is just part of the business? we should just pay our bill. Now I’m no longer the friendly smiling Al Days now I’m upset. I tell the waiter that I have worked with the public for over 30 years as a Deputy Chief of Police and with the airlines. Never have I had a manager refuse to speak to a customer whom had an issue with service or lack of service. He just stated “I understand, I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything about it.” Janet stated we will not eat her again and the waiter’s response was “OK”.

So we left and as we left spoke to a young lady at the counter who stated the manager was upstairs and don’t come down for customers???

Before the new owners or new management they had excellent food, service and atmosphere. Yesterday we went to eat and when they took us to the table the waitress took a while to offer the main service, she also forgot to turn on the grill for the chef which took more than 20 minutes to heat up, there were other people waiting before us by the same chef who is celebrating his birthday, the very helpful chef noticed that the iron was not on and apologized for the inconvenience even though it was not his fault, the waitress was conspicuous by her absence. It is unfortunate that a place with such good prestige and good quality of food is no longer so.
I ordered a medium steak and the chef made it well done, we asked for 2 boxes to take what we had left and they gave us some super ordinary foam ones, the ones from before were more elegant and weren't made of foam. Very high price to pay for mediocre service.
