Hands down, the BEST restaurant I've been to in the Milwaukee area. Merica was our server and she was simply the best- friendly, professional, funny, and very knowledgeable about the cuisine. Our food was phenomenal, we ordered seconds of the Jamaican goat and the duck wontons. The restaurant offered to let us sample the fall dessert menu ahead of time for free, this was the best restaurant experience I've ever had, you've got a life long customer from here on out. Thank you, Vero! ????

My partner and I attended the wine and chocolate pairing event, and it was an absolute blast! We had a fantastic time and are already hoping they'll host this event again. The owner and server were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we were enjoying every moment. We'll definitely have to go back :)

What an amazing local spot! Our waitress, Marika, did an amazing job with offering her recommendations. My boyfriend and I ordered three entrees and shared. It was the perfect amount of food and was so delicious. Can’t recommend this spot enough!

Amazing
We had an absolutely fantastic time during our visit to Racine. Vero International Cuisine delivered.
The atmosphere was incredible - a great place to bring a date or have a night out with friends. You're first welcomed by a very large sit at bar with crushed glass and backlite countertops. As you walk further back you're greeted by a softly lit dining room and dark wood tables - each personally lit with a small light.
The food was wonderful. They offer themselves as a tapas place, but honestly the food portions are large enough to be entrees. They give you a small bowl of plantains and salsa to get you started and it was delicious.
Our server Erica (may be spelled differently) was very sweet, accommodating, an soft spoken. She took the time to make us feel comfortable and gave wonderful recommendations on what to try.
We ended up ordering the Korean BBQ Duck Wontons, Honey Garlic Chicken, Jamaican Braised Goat, and Pan Seared Scallops. All were delicious and again the portions were large and surprising. We also ordered one of their bottles of red wine. It was an incredible deal and only cost us $30 for the bottle. Others were priced similarly, but for roughly $5/ drink you can't go wrong. For desert we tried the carrot cake - which I think may have been a special - I can't remember. It was good and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best I've had.
Before we left for the evening they offered to give us a quick look at their upstairs party lounge. It was beautiful and well received. The bowed glass terrarium was incredible and the opposite side had beautiful soft upholstery seats. I'm sad I didn't snag a photo of this side. Each side had their own bar - If we were local, I could definitely see this as an amazing 'upscale' party pad for not a ton of money!

Our (my wife and myself) first visit. It was Thursday night, rather quiet. The Bartender Savannah mixed good drinks and educated us regarding menu choices - very attentive and helpfull. Bar and dining area atmosphere are nice. We ordered 3 small plates, Saffron Shroom toast, Island shrimp and Jerk Chicken. That was more then enought to fill us. All the food was excellent, properly seasoned and prepared. Waitress Hailey was friendly, attentive and competant. In total an excellent 1'st visit. I want to return to try more menu items.

I am overjoyed to have chosen this restaurant- the highlight of my Racine visit. Lovely atmosphere, personable service, and fantastic dishes- it was so hard to choose, but I loved the duck wontons and the braised goat I chose, with fried plantains for dessert!

Beyond A +
It is very hard to find a restaurant that goes above and beyond, and Vero is over the top. Atmosphere is so cool and relaxing even including the music. As soon as you sit you are offer an exotic chip and salsa blend complementary. Every thing on the menu including Alcoholic Drinks is priced accordingly. Highest priced items on menu were steak and lamb still under $30. Portion sizes were great to share. Everything had so much flavor and authentic. The lava cake dessert was out of this world just like Lava, it blew me away. On ?
Both my partner and self cook international food for our Yoga Community.
This restaurant is now in my top two favorites!
And lastly the owner and staff so friendly

If you want to try something a little different and amazing, try Vero International Cuisine. It was easily one of the best meals that I have had in a very long time. It has an African flair, which sometimes mixes flavors that you would not expect go together... but they do! The waitress stated the portions are not large, so people often order multiple items and share them in groups. The portions were larger than we expected and we brought quite a bit home, but this was a great way to try different things. Everything we tried was amazing! I recommend starting with the hummus tray. Incredible! But, now I need to go back. I haven't tried the Lamb Lollipop meal yet...

I would give this a ten rating, if that was possible. We had a group of 16 people and were seated in the beautiful upstairs room. From phone calls to Sue to coordinate everything, to Merika, our awesome server, to meeting the owner, Veronica Carver, everything ran smooth and we all enjoyed our time there, making it very special for our guest of honor!
We started with the Charcuterie and Hummus Boards and they were delicious!
Everyone got something different and we enjoyed sharing and trying most everything. My favorites are the Jamaican Braised Goat, the Pan Seared Scallops with red beans and rice and the Bourbon Candied Brisket. Many different foods and flavors, that you won’t find anywhere else in Racine. Thank you for such a lovely evening. We will be back!
