We enjoyed ordering specific food here until they made a big jump in their prices. The food is not worth what they charge now, the pizza is bland, and not very flavorful. So we had already decided not to order it again after ordering it twice. We enjoyed the large order of cheese curds often, wings and specific sandwiches, until the massive price hike. We get more of the same food for a much cheaper bill (and better quality) from a bar and grill in Medford. Really is a shame they spiked their prices as much as they did, 30% or more! If you want more bang for your buck in not just quantity but also flavor and quality, just go to Medford. So disappointed in Camp 28. Their price, location and some good food were great, but now they've lost us as costumers indefinitely. There is also a older woman who works as a server, we hadn't tipped her the last couple of times, she swore in front of our children, and at least 3 times had told us we couldn't order the large cheese curds without the jalapeño curds. We had ordered it multiple times without the jalapeño. She could not keep up with her small amount of tables. We stopped tipping her specifically because she does not do well at her job.
Be aware that the rooms are not wheelchair accessible, along with their back parking lot.

We booked our stay at Camp 28 from July 21-24 but ended up checking out a day early due to significant issues with our room. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed a strong musty odor, and the floor was wet and damp. Additionally, the towels provided were visibly dirty, which is entirely unacceptable.
Another issue we encountered was that the door lacked proper blackout curtains or coverings, allowing sunlight to shine directly into the room, significantly impacting our comfort and privacy.
When we checked out early on Wednesday morning, my wife communicated our concerns to a staff member, who assured us they would inform the owner. Unfortunately, no one from Camp 28 has reached out since to address or resolve our complaints.
Given our disappointing experience, including cleanliness issues, room discomfort, and the absence of follow-up from management, we will not be returning. We sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve the experience for future guests.

My extended family and I have eaten here many times. Great food! We love fish fry Friday's, burgers, spicy cheese curds, Mac n cheese with pork, wings, etc. We enjoy the soup/salad bar. Old fashioneds are great! Great owner and servers.

A group of us went out to eat here for lunch and we were not impressed at all. The food was very low quality. We were not informed prior to paying that there was only a buffet available and that it would be $30 a person. The food was very disappointing. They were serving “strawberry shortcake” that tasted cornbread with frozen strawberries. Additionally one of my friends found a piece of hair in his water and the rest of the food was not very appetizing. Overall it was a very disappointing experience especially as we had been here before and really enjoyed the food
Did not disappoint! Being in such a small town we didnt expect to find such incredible food! We found this place after almost a year of living here, wish we had tried it sooner! I'm sitting and eating sweet potato fries with the Philly cheese steak sandwich and definitely got the bang for my buck. We've gotten pizza here too and absolutely 10/10 recommend this quality food!

We had originally gotten to our reserved room to find that the housekeeper had not gotten to it yet BUT; I believe his name was Darby, was very quick to get us into a new upgraded room. There was another gentlemanly worker who came up to our room with us to make sure all was in order. They were very apologetic and quick to fix any issue we had! That hospitality alone will have us coming back!

Excellent place for an old fashioned and walleye on a Friday evening! The dining room was packed but service was still prompt and friendly. They tried to apologize for the food coming out slowly but honestly I’ve had to wait longer for taco bell in Rhinelander!
