Not much going on..basically just a trailer and unfortunately it is not right on the water, probably about 50 to 75 yards away.

Drinks were Cold and Bartender was friendly !
The pizza ranks up there with the best, and I’ve tried a lot of different pizza’s thru the years. Duddy the owner? I’m assuming. Was very cordial, had some bar games that were fun. The only thing we really didn’t like was the lighting. It was very dark in the area you had to walk thru to go to the bathrooms. Also at the back of the bar were windows the whole length of the bar, and beyond that was the Lake…which once it got dark you couldn’t see a thing. Some sort of lighting out there would have made a world of difference also. It’s “Hoots on the water” after all. If we make the trip again next year we’ll definitely go for pizza again, maybe during daylight hours so we can see that beautiful scenery out the back windows!

Beautiful lake view and very comfortable setting. We go out of our way to stop and have a quick drink!
Visiting Rice Lake for the first time to check out the area to see if we might find a vacation rental that would have us visiting annually. First day arrival and pretty hungry. We hoped to find a restaurant on the lake and to our surprise, there was only one. Hoots doesn't look like much, but we've always found places like this to have great food and friendly people so we gave it a try. We had our dog with us and were happy to find that we could find a shady spot outside at a picnic bench. There were other seats available in the back, but most were in the sun. They provided us with a bowl of water for our dog and I loved my Tequila Sunrise. Shout out to the bartender. We ordered the sausage pizza and again, I loved everything about it. The perfect cheese to sauce ratio. The people (employees/patrons) were friendly, warm and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Don’t say you’re open until 2 if you guys close at midnight. Disappointed to say the least.

My husband and I were on a mission to find a place to get some pizza for lunch. After attempting several places, nothing was open until 4 which we thought was odd since it was a Sat. We saw this place was open and they had pizza so we figured we would give it a shot! The bartender was really nice and the pizza was a lot better than we expected! The interior could use some updates but overall, we had a good time and more importantly, we got our pizza!

Typical bar experience. Got a pizza to go. Service was good and you could tell it’s a local hang out. Friendly atmosphere and I would definitely go back
