Hands down the best chinese food/buffet around. I moved to Wisconsin about 6 years ago. Chinese food is my favorite so I went around to so manny places to find a good spot and this place is the best and my number 1 spot I dont go anywhere else and if I do I always regret it because its never as good. It's a small family business run by the mom, dad and there kids. The family are wonderful people. Iv been going here for about 6 years now and have never had a issue

China Moon Buffet was so good it honestly felt illegal for food to taste like that. Every single thing I put on my plate was hitting like it had something to prove—like the chefs woke up that morning and said, “Yeah, we’re gonna change lives today.” The orange chicken was crispy perfection, the lo mein tasted like straight joy, the crab rangoons could heal childhood trauma, and even the rice somehow tasted better than normal rice is supposed to taste. It was one of those meals where you keep going back for more even though your body is like, “Bro… stop,” but your heart is like, “No, we ride at dawn.” I swear I left that place feeling like a different person, like I had unlocked a new level of happiness. If happiness had a flavor, it would be the food at China Moon.

The food was very good, splendid at that. But I was more than underwhelmed by the service. My server was a young boy, I would guess sixteen, he was very slow at getting refills and even shrugged me off a couple times. He also seemed very unenthusiastic. Aside from that, my experience was good and the food was scrumptious. 4 stars.

11/19/25 12:30pm. Adequate size Buffet which was not the largest or the smallest and a good selection of food and scoop ice cream and some desserts along with a little fruit. Excellent drop soup but no crispy fried fish which is my wife's favorite. Service is fare. We were there for 2 hours and checked on once, but I noticed other tables were checked on frequently. Upon check out the person was on the phone talking in Mandarin the entire time and never broke off to say anything to us. Unfortunately I gave a tip and I shouldn't have. We did like the food however and it was a quiet atmosphere so I would not be surprised if we went back at some point, but there are so many restaurants in River Falls we may try something else next time. Restrooms are in the back and were clean, however there were no paper towels in the men's room and I neglected to let anybody know. The price was okay and other places are slightly higher. The drink is not included in the price of the buffet. The taste of the food was good. I would say average and nothing to stand out so for some people that would be perfect.
