I was there on September 14, with my daughter and her friend. We sat down right away at a table and gave us our menus. And we waited for 15 minutes for them to come back and take our order. They were not busy at all. We got up and left, nobody even looked at us. We were there about a month ago also, and service wasn’t much better. Wasn’t very crowded and we waited forever for our food. Plenty of workers there, all folding napkins and silverware. Never returning! We went to the Mexican place down the street! Great service and food there!!

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00. We (3) were seated right away. Our server greeted us and asked what we wanted to drink and we all said water. Server brought 3 glasses back but only 2 glasses had water in it. We placed our food order shortly after and we waited and waited for our food. After an hour we left.
The tables around us were never cleared, just not the cleanest place. The women's bathroom also needed some cleaning. Very disappointed overall.

Food is mediocre and overpriced. Management is awful. Specifically the manager they have now. Immature and unprofessional.

waited over 45 minutes to get our food and it wasn't busy- great wait staff tho. SLOW kitchen we've had good and bad experiences here and keep hoping the next time will be better, but it never is.

Much more than just a bar and grill. Everything we had was excellent. You must try and save room for the excellent brownie!!!

Usually love this place. The overwhelming smell of sewer gas coming from behind the bar turned my stomach so badly that our visit was ruined. DISGUSTING we will miss having them as a dining option.

2/5 on wings.
Honestly this was one of my girlfriends and my favorite spots to go. I am a huge fan of chicken wings and I like to try the rotating sauces. However, unexpectedly since it is not labeled on the menu, they started smoking their wings. There are a bunch of reasons to not smoke wings. The top being that the flavor is so overwhelming that you can't taste the sauce at all.

Unfortunately this place is no longer a location where I will order wings (which is really the only reason we go). Thanks for the wings in the past though. I will miss them greatly.

THE NUTTY SQUIRREL – SMALL TOWN VIBES, LEGENDARY TIMES

Five stars? Damn right. Maybe I’m biased. Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve got not one, but two good friends working there. One slinging drinks like a certified potion master behind the bar, and the other delivering food like a hometown hero with fries in hand and smiles on tap. But even if I didn’t know a soul? I’d still give The Nutty Squirrel all five of those shiny stars. Why? Because this place earns it.

Tucked away in River Falls, this place is what you’d call a local legend. A quaint dive with soul, where almost everybody knows everybody, and even if they don’t, they will by the end of the night. It's the kind of place that sells itself. No gimmicks. Just good people, good food, and damn good times.

The drinks? Flowing. Always cold, always strong, and served with a side of laughter.

The food? Bussin’. Doesn’t matter if it’s your first time or your fiftieth. The menu hits.

The atmosphere? Pure comfort. You walk in and feel like you’ve been going there your whole life, even if you just showed up last week.

It’s not just about what's inside the bar either. This place is plugged into the town’s heartbeat. They’ve got events poppin’ off year-round, parades, bar runs, car shows, you name it. You’ll see the Nutty Squirrel in the middle of it, either hosting, pouring, or partying right along with the rest of us. It’s the place where the town meets to unwind, reconnect, and remember how to have fun.

Entertainment? Stacked.

Darts? Check.

Mini arcade? Absolutely.

Billiards table? Freshly added and already seeing some fierce action.
Sure, we lost the pinball machines (RIP), but in true Nutty Squirrel fashion, they gave us something new to rally around. It’s a give and take. And frankly, they keep giving.

Final Verdict:
If you’ve never been, go. If you used to go, come back. If you’re there every weekend, save me a seat. Whether you're craving a drink, a plate of comfort food, or just a damn good time surrounded by familiar faces, The Nutty Squirrel delivers. Every. Single. Time.

Five stars. No hesitation.
This place isn’t just a bar. It’s a community with neon lights and barstools.

My friend and I went in there for lunch. Casey was our server. He was cute 😍 & right on top of things. I had the Sizzling Apple Crisp. It was hot, thick, gooey, served with ice cream... and, DAMN it was DELICIOUS 😋 *you NEED to try this*

We were there on a Tuesday night they were not that busy it took an hour and 20 minutes to get a crappy hamburger and cold tots.

Went there this past Sunday for wings and a reuben, service ( kitchen) was real slow took approximately 1 hr to get our meals. The Reuben was inedible due to how tough the meat was, ended leaving 3/4 of the sandwich

Very disappointed in Nutty Squirrel, I know they can do better……Complete disappointment
