We went to the Dalles House restaurant to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary on Saturday evening. I have always loved going there. We shared a delicious bottle of wine and both ordered the king cut prime rib with salads for starters and sides of popovers, au gratin potatoes and fresh asparagus with bearnaise sauce. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was cooked perfectly and it came very quickly. Such a beautiful dinner and the flavor was to die for! I cannot tell you how much I love this place! I will never tire of going there. We had Brandy Alexanders for dessert and they tasted sooo good. I highly recommend the Dalles House to anyone looking for good, high quality food, reasonable and fair pricing a fun atmosphere with friendly and genuinely nice staff and a beautiful setting overlooking a gorgeous courtyard. The best part is all of the food we got to take home with us to enjoy another delicious meal! Thanks to everyone who made our evening such a wonderful and memorable success.

The great service started during the phone call to make a reservation. The host (later identified as Ross) was extremely forthright and helpful. They were busy and the earliest dining room reservation was for 8PM, but Ross told me we were more than welcome to come to the Lounge at any time and the entire menu is available there as well. We arrived around 7:30 and were told our table would be ready at 8... it was. In the meantime we ordered drinks at the bar where Adam made us the best Dirty Martini's we've had in a long time. The great service continued when we were sat and our server Christian introduced himself. His knowledge of the menu and what was and wasn't available on that occasion and time, was very helpful. His recommendations were spot on. I had the Duck and my wife had a Filet, and both were fantastic.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for the service alone, but they crushed it with the food as well.
Ross, Adam, and Christian all clearly care about putting their best foot forward and represent the establishment very well... all of them should be commended.

Been coming here for years for the Sunday buffet. Every visit has been a fantastic experience with great food and even better service. Top that off with all the little details. Tablecloths, linen napkins comfy chairs and fresh plates. The service is top notch -attentive, friendly and even some humor. Highly recommend dining here. It's more than just a meal, it's an experience.
