We went to Clearview for my Mother's 76th birthday dinner. The service and old fashioneds were excellent. However the lobster bisque wasn't good at all and thankfully the waitress was able to remove it from our bill. I had a ribeye and it was average at best. We had fun but the food was less than to be desired.. Considering that there are many great supper clubs around with much better food, this wont be my first choice for dinner.

The bartender and the server were great. Classic Northwoods atmosphere. Only reason for 4 star is because the tortellini and beef medallions dish was just not good, I made this known and was pleasantly surprised they took it off the bill. I tried the walleye from someone else in my party and it was delicious. Everyone else was happy with their food.

A cute place with a very genuine "up North" ambience to it in a lovely setting. Sad to see that quality has slipped in the last couple of years, though. Our pre-dinner salad was skimpy, limp and not especially cold. The dinners themselves were delicious, well-plated and kind of different for the North Woods scene (I had the ravioli/steak dish). However, they were barely warm when served. The waitress seemed miffed when we sent it back; she returned with the obviously microwaved plates a couple minutes later; hotter, but it didn't do any favors for the dish. Thing is, it's not a cheap place. It has a good reputation and a loyal following in the area. But it really needs to show a little more care when it comes to both the food and service.

The setting, building and bar make it a classic destination, and I’ve always thought the menu was an interesting mix of traditional and newer dishes. Like a lot of places in this area, Clearview has been hit hard by labor shortages, especially in waitstaff and kitchen positions. But to walk up to the hostess station and be “mindfully ignored” by a worker tapping on her phone is more than a little rude. Our waitress also seemed liked she’d “had it.” And the dining room was at best 25% capacity; supposedly it had busy earlier. This carried over into the food. Both our entrees were good, but barely warm. Waitress grudgingly took them back to the kitchen and brought them back in a few minutes - not sure if microwaved or heat-lamped - but same plates, same arrangement of food as we left it, just a little more desiccated. In addition, the salad was kind of sad and the rolls were clearly pre-packaged, as opposed to the little loaves of fresh bread and cheese dip they served around a year ago when we last dined there (when the food was fantastic). Again, this is a classic spot I love to visit and usually recommend. I hope they up their game, though, and match the food experience to the prices, at least.

Dont eat here you will be disappointed. Food was slop. Overly salty or bland. Bad experience for $180.

Staff was all excellent. Friendly and efficient. Portabella mushroom with quinoa was excellent as was citrus chicken. Tomato bisque soup had excellent flavor. Martini was great. Old fashioned was pretty good, that's why we went with four stars instead of five. We will be back to try more of this great menu and to enjoy the friendly staff.

The bar is exactly what you want from a supper club. The meal service is where they lack. Menu was a stained 8.5x11 sheet of paper in a cheap sleeve. Didn’t find any of the classic supper club items other than steak, no prime rib. Fish fry was very small portions for the price and we were rushed the entire time. Probably shouldn’t be listed under fine dining.

We called multiple times, even a day ahead to make sure that we could fit a party of 13, but there was no answer. We were the first people to show up a couple minutes before they opened. We walked inside and told one of the girls we had 13 people. The manager (I believe) came from the back and said she can not seat us and we should have called ahead of time. When said that we have called she made a bunch of excuses and was really rude.

Our 2nd experience at the Clearview didn’t disappoint. A Wisconsin supper club experience. Great drinks. A view of the lake. Thursday night special is liver and onions (delicious and perfectly made) and pot roast (great!) As a table of 8 we can also attest the Kansas City steak, shrimp scampi and pork chop medallions were great. For dessert the chocolate cobbler with ice cream can’t be missed. Would definitely recommend.

Great little place off the beaten path. Excellent service and large menu. One of the best Supper Clubs in the area and accepts reservations. Had good wine list and excellent food. Waitress Robin was a wonderful knowledgeable waitress. We will definitely be back.

Quality of food was poor and portion size was a joke. Chicken Parmigiana came in a tiny dish that would barely be enough for a 3 year old and it was $27 if I remember right. Service was fine. Do not
