We showed up with a large group of people & the bartenders were so fantastic to us!! Served one person at a time calmly and got caught up quickly. We also ordered quite a few pizza's. They accommodated & made us the most delicious pizzas. They appreciated our business and it showed! Love Pioneer!

The cheese curds are amazing and the pizza is some of the best around! The staff is welcoming and the laid-back atmosphere makes it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a meal by the water.

***Cabin Review *** It pains me to put down a business, especially one I've previously enjoyed, but people should know. The cabin we stayed in was absolutely disgusting. On it's own the cabin was run down and well used. That part is tolerable for the price. But our cabin had backed up sewage on day one. When you flushed the toilet, you could watch your fecal matter come up in the shower drain right before your eyes. We were offered a discount for this pleasure. Once swage actually pooled in the shower we demanded they fix it. To their credit they called a plumber and septic company but to their discredit this is an ongoing issue they clearly knew about and hadn't fixed. It still smelled like sewage in the entire cabin, especially when showering. I was woken up in the night to sewage odor. It was unpleasant and probably unsafe health wise. There were thousands of lake nats in the bathroom and we did not enjoy all the mice in the kitchen either.
We're a bunch of dudes who don't require much but it was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable accommodations. It ruined an otherwise relaxing vacation.

The Pioneer is a great place on Long Lake for good food and drinks. Our favorite part is that the patio is dog friendly, so when you're enjoying a day on the lake you can dock your boat, and everyone can have some refreshments on the patio (they provide a bowl of water for fido).
We really enjoy their meatball appetizer, pizza and The Big Salad with grilled chicken really hits the spot on a hot day.

Only ate at the "restaurant". It was sufficient for an evening meal. Service was adequate, I wasn't expecting a lot. Overall not bad. I would go back for drinks and appetizers, nice view, nice location!

Nice patio area, uncomfortable metal chairs. Waiter was awful, he kept forgetting drinks even when he wrote stuff down. Took him forever to come back with forgotten drinks. Then brought out extra drinks we didn't order and charged us. Food took over an hour to come out. Prime rib sandwich was dry with very little meat and cold dip. Waiter was polite and nice but hopefully not his life goal. Pizza looked like the best choice. Fries were good.
Food & drinks: Don't order the prime rib sandwich.

We were at the resort last night for dinner. This was our fourth time there this year. Like to spread it around a little and have been eating at the other resort’s on the lake as well. I asked them to leave the pizza in another minute only because I’m very fussy about my pie. The pizza was AMAZING. The service was simply OUTSTANDING and the view was UNBELIEVABLE. The docks are PERFECT
Pioneer you don’t have to be the fanciest to run with the big dogs. In my book you’re the lead dog. Keep doing what you’re doing.
