The view of this establishment is quite nice, as it is on the lake!! The waitress/bartender was very pleasant too!! The food however, was terrible. The chicken nachos that I had ordered, had maybe (just maybe) one ounce of cold, non-grilled chicken on then. (The menu stated grilled chicken). The nachos were simply lacking everything, and I mean everything that nachos should typically have.

Save yourself from the rude and obnoxious/unreasonable manager! My two sisters (both doctors) and I have 2 weeks to spend vacationing on Long Lake.The first 4 days we enjoyed the food at Props on Long Lake and ate there at least once every day- with food and drinks, we spent near $80.00-$100.00 each visit. On our 6th visit, one of my sisters had ordered a $10.00 appetizer that was overcooked and quite dry. She was disappointed with it and sent it back. When we asked for the manager to come over- a person named Jess Kincaide came to our table and was the most rude and obnoxious person any of us had encountered in the hospitality/restaurant business. I asked politely that the 10$ item be removed from the bill, she sharply replied that she would not take it off because that is the way they come and essentially it was too bad if we did not like it. She had seen us in the restaurant many times over the previous days- I said to her, you won’t remove a $10.00 item and risk losing business over this. She said yes and turned and walked away. Now we are spending our time at the Long Lake Grill, the Pioneer and other restaurants without the obnoxious drama that Jess Kincaide brings to Props!

This is my second time vacationing here this year. Part of the fun is pulling up to Props and having lunch and dinner there almost every day. That said, we have spent a ton of money there. Then we had terrible nachos and sent them back. The manager, Jess Kincaid, very rudely said 'that's how they come' and would not take them off the check. She just turned her back and walked away as if she could care less. We told her we would write a review on the internet and she said 'go ahead, there are plenty of reviews.' Wow! Believe me, I do not mind the $10. The point is the manager was beyond unreasonable, rude, and dismissive. She would not even discuss it any further. The poor waitress! Bartender Tom was very nice, but we will never be back. It's really silly because in a community like this, word spreads fast. This kind of thing can put a real wrench into a vacation community and can ruin the flavor and reputation. Don't go to, support, or refer Props!
