Couldn't wait to try this place after hearing about it. Our expectations were exceeded! Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. We arrived before the dinner rush on a Saturday night, so we were in an out fairly quickly. Looking forward to visiting again.

I don't get it. Atmosphere is good, Service is okay. The food is just plain awful. I ordered a schnitzel sandwich and it was totally hidden by the bun, undercooked, oily and tasted as though it was cooked in the same oil as the fish. Disappointment with a capital D.On the positive side, the bread was fantastic.

While sauk city has other places to eat, this is it for me. The feeling of eating at a family owned restaurant where you can see how much people care....it's so wisconsin. Food great. Service is too. And always german beer on tap. You have no reason not to stop...

Didn't eat there, opens at 4:30 we got there at 4:45, hour and 45 minute wait time to get seated, something needs to change or maybe not. Don't take reservations for less than 12 people. Hear alot of good things about it, just can't wait that long for seating.

Wonderful supper club with lots of old family values! I used to go here as a child with my grandparents & recently took my own family. Everything was exactly like I remembered it! Loved our dinner, appetizers & drinks.Was pleasantly surprised to see pickled gizzards on the menu and they were delicious! They made a mean brandy old fashioned too! Definitely will return!
