Greeted immediately upon entering the building by a cheerful bartender. Service was great throughout our meal and drinks! Food was perfectly made! Thanks for a great experience!

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and clean!
Nice little bar & grill. Long bar with lots of stools. Good burgers. Friendly staff and locals.
We stopped in at The Shop last night for the Friday fish fry, excited to try the walleye. We also ordered the calamari, but unfortunately, it tasted old and stale. We decided to just push through and hoped the rest of the meal would be better.
I ordered a Tequila Sunrise, and to my surprise, the bartender didn’t know what that was. When I received my second drink, it wasn’t made with the same tequila, and I started feeling bloated not long after.
My walleye sandwich lacked any real flavor—the cheese was the only thing I could taste. My husband’s walleye still had the skin on, which might have been intentional (possibly pan-fried?), but it wasn’t mentioned on the menu and caught us off guard.
Later that evening, I felt very bloated and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, my husband had a worse reaction—it hit him within 30 minutes of getting home, and he ended up sick for most of the night.
I gave the atmosphere a 2 because it was uncomfortably cold inside, and the general vibe just didn’t feel welcoming. It seemed like if you’re not a regular or over 60, you may not feel like you belong. Sadly, the experience didn’t live up to the glowing reviews we read, and it left us wondering if some of those might be a bit too generous—or perhaps written by staff.
Absolutely the best in the area. Delicious food, super friendly staff, quick carryouts, great outdoor venue for local bands, always something going on no matter what time of the year. Bobbi and Matt have restored this place better than it ever was; lots of local history.
Need a bigger place. Very accommodating.

Everything was excellent! The wait staff was so helpful and nice. The fish was exceptional. Get the potato pancakes if you like something a little different. The slaw was perfect. Had 2 delicious old fashioneds. Portions generous and priced fairly.

Take the ride up or down 60. It's beautiful. And this is the best place to stop for a bite and refreshments between sauk and spring green....

Cool stop for a place for refreshments and rest. Relaxing bar setting and the area is nice. Great outdoor seats and service is fast. Biker friendly. Good burgers, calamari is crispy, cheese curds were gooey, steak sandwich was cheesy.
Parking: Not much parking if customers bring cars, but plenty of parking for motorcycles
