I've driven by this place, it's always hard to tell if it's open. I noticed that the restaurant is up for sale. I've looked at the menu, nothing really interested me. The reviews are great. I decided to give it a try. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and allowed to choose my table.I started with the combo plate: 2 cream cheese filled wontons, 1 egg roll, 5 deep fried chicken, and 2 deep fried shrimp. The wontons were too hard. Everything else very good.Main entree, Sweet and sour combo, chicken, shrimp, and pork, with pineapple, tomato, and pepper.Egg roll and soup came with the entree, I had the egg drop soup.Food tasted good, but not extraordinary. The food is like home style Chinese food.I noticed the person who greeted me, had a great relationship with people who came in. She informed people that it was Fish Day in Port Washington. The staff had family style dinner while I was eating. That really impressed me. Simple homemade food, simple family people. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

Do not order the orange chicken it is not good at all. Very greasy and seemed undercooked also. Steamed rice was the only good thing besides the price but will not be going bk.

Was told to seat ouselves but then did not get any service. A couple arrived after us and rec'd service immediately. Wait staff was very friendly to them and made it appear they probably were locals. We gave them about 5 more min after we hsd been there at least 15 min aleady. After that, walked out, won't go back.
So sorry to see Lam's become another "Used to be good" restaurant, but unfortunately it has. I picked up a called in order recently and the place has become dirty and rundown. I stood at the bar in the normal place to pay and wait and couldn't believe the dust and dirt and filthy glasses hanging from the ceiling. My take out Egg Foo Young was good at home but the atmosphere totally turned me off from going back there.

Just got take out from lam's. Ordered general tsaos chicken. When I got home I opened it to find bare chicken in a sauce that is not general tsaos. Looks like sweet and sour but has no flavor. Spring roll was over cooked yet soggy. Rice taste awful like it's dirty. I wouldn't recommend it go back again.
Great food!
