This was such a memorable meal! Our server, Rob, helped make it special by explaining dishes in impressive details, including possible vegetarian modifications for one in our group. Highlights include the delicious mocktail that tasted like a lemon bar, the seasoning and sauces on the Bacon Bacon Nice appetizer, the Iberico pork and duck entrees Rob recommended, the vegetable tofu curry, and the 3 different desserts we tried. Looking forward to coming back to try more and support this incredible local business and culinary gem.

For years I’ve always meant to check this place out and finally did last night. The Black Pig did not disappoint one bit. The first thing that got me was the atmosphere. I love the dark walls and the dim lighting. It’s a very warm and intimate environment. The food was amazing. A little pricey but affordable yet, either way it’s honestly so worth it. Looking through the menu there’s definitely a lot of flavor profiles you don’t see at restaurants around this area. I was impressed by the menu, now I’ll just have to keep going back to try some more! Highly recommend this place.

Great vibe and excellent food. This was my second visit and it didn't disappoint. Any of the smoked meat options are the way to go. My party of 4 ordered BBQ pork Mac n' Cheese, the marinated Iberico tacos, the pulled pork sandwich, and the cod sandwich (the special for the day). The tacos came recommended by the wait staff and they were perfectly sized. Not too much food that I left stuffed, but perfect proportions. They are listed on the menu as being spicy, but the only heat came from the pickled slice of jalapeno on each taco (3 total). If I could find a con to my experience, it would be the temperature of the food when it was served. It could have been hotter, and this was really evident when eating the French fries on the side.

Unexpected visit. Going to a concert and the restaurant we planned on eating at unfortunately was being torn down. This was the closest restaurant to the venue.

It was our first time eating there considering the great reviews. We drove an hour and half for a different reason but while in Sheboygan, we wanted to have lunch. Butternut squash bisque soup started off our lunch, it was too-notch delicious! The server was fantastic but the entree food was very depressing. We ordered the French dip sandwich and tacos, both were flavorless. The shoe string french fries was the only saving grace of our entree meal. It is unfortunate the food did not meet expectation. Trying too hard to be a high end restaurant in which it failed during our visit.

The 3 things I tried off the set menu (app, entrée, and dessert) were absolutely dialed in. The special I had (appetizer) had a very well cooked protein, but the flavor profile of the dish was a bit confused and the zucchini was shown very little love. You can't go wrong on the main menu, and if ever I'm back in town I'll be eating here again.
