Stairway steps were dirty with food crumbs and sticky "stuff" on 1 landing and set of stairs and an empty pop can on a window - there when we checked in Thursday at 430pm and still stuck on the stairway and window when we checked out Saturday at 5am. A window was open in 1 room so we were able to listen to the air conditioner of the adjacent rumble loudly. There was no crank handle and I couldn't close the window by hand. Went to the front desk and they couldn't find a window handle so they gave me an adjustable pliers. I closed the window as far as I could but it wouldn't close completely. We didn't have to worry about looking out the window by the head of the bed as it was covered in paint overspray as maybe the walls had been painted at some time in the last decade. This was a fishing trip for 3 guys and we couldn't find any other hotels with available rooms. So we were stuck with this trash-hole. This facility appears to be in a state of remodeling for multiple years and the ownership group should be admonished harshly. Not clean and Wyndham should be ashamed to have this dump be listed as a property in their franchise group. Please remove the swimming pool advertising photo as this is not what's in this dump. I wouldn't allow my wife or any females I know walk in this facility.

This place should be shut down! If you ever think to book this place, take your money and run for the hills! This place was absolutely disgusting! The photos on the website are false advertisement. The place looks like a dump and had sketchy people standing outside. The lights inside were off in the lobby and the elevators were old and scary. The walls look old, gross, and the carpets were dirty. The lock on my room door was broken. Tissue inside outlets (hello, fire hazard)... oh and let's not forget a dirty underwear hanging on the bathroom doorknob!! I have never seen any place like it. It was filthy and felt unsafe. My family and I left right away!

I wdon’t care if this hotel is charging $200 a night or $15 a night, do not stay here. This hotel, is without a doubt, the worst place I have ever stayed. My travel companion and I paid over $150 to stay a single night at this hotel, in order to avoid staying in Milwaukee, because we thought it would be a bit safer to stay in Sheboygan. Wrong. Upon arrival, it was midnight. We pulled up to the hotel parking lot, parked easily, walked toward the lobby doors, and there was trash everywhere: cigarette butts, beer, cans, soda, cans, paper, plastic. Upon entry in the hotel, we were told that the pool was closed. There was no snack bar. The front desk person was nice and promptly greeted us, however, she also had to advise us to ignore the gentleman standing behind her, making strange comments to us. She instructed him to “go away, ” at which point he did. Neither my travel companion, nor I could fully understand what he was saying, but it was uncomfortable. We were not asked for identification upon check-in. After being told that the hotel was undergoing renovation and had been acquired by Wyndham / Travelodge in April of 2023 (signage still indicated EconoLodge on site), we took the elevator up to our room. The elevator was clearly unsafe, the buttons did not work correctly, it made loud sounds. Because we were told we were staying in the renovated part of the hotel were optimistic, that perhaps, this would not be an awful situation, however, after making our way down, a filthy tool – filled, dangerously cluttered hallway, we entered our room - only to find that it had not been renovated. The room smelled awful. I still have not been able to place the scent. The air conditioning unit was running, but not functional. It was blowing humid, tepid air into the room. The room was filthy. They were cigarette burns on the furniture. The carpet was peeling away from the walls. There was a crumpled up plastic, grocery bag in the corner of the allegedly cleaned shower. There was no soap, no shampoo, etc. One of the beds had yellow stains under and allegedly cleaned pillow. The vent in the bathroom was thick with dust and fuzz. They were holes in the wall. Scrapes all over the paint. We chose not to place our bags, suitcases or bare feet on any floor surface. We opted not to go down to the lobby and complain because we were made so uncomfortable by the man we originally encountered. Had we not been so desperate for a place to get a few hours of sleep we would have left and slept in our car. Not knowing the area we were in, and being concerned, based on the state of the hotel, in which we were presently staying, it made us nervous to sleep in our car. I do not see an option to upload pictures to this review, but you should note they are READILY available. We stayed a total of six hours at the hotel - just enough to get a little sleep before getting on the road again. We did not trust the towels, let alone the surfaces. We waited until dawn to leave, as we felt unsafe, leaving before the sun came up. We brushed our teeth in a nearby park using bottled water. This is not a safe hotel, it is essentially a “No-Tell” hotel. Do not stay here. Do not bring your children here. I would be hesitant to trust the remodel that is currently in process. on our way out we saw one of the remodeled rooms and it is only a minor step up from what we experienced and does not address the issues of cleanliness or safety.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! No hot water, the air conditioner barely worked, the hallway looked like trash and the elevator looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. Half the tenants looked like they were meth users. When we left in the morning to go out fishing we watched what was most likely a drug deal outside of the main doors. I would definitely not stay there again!

No breakfast, no pool, seedy looking people in and out. Police called 2x by 2 separate guests, Police dog brought in too. Caution tape at door upon arrival. Random woman talking her drug addiction. Floor wresked of Marijuana. Trash sitting in huge bags on floors. Vending machines and laundry, our of service. Complete disappointment ? ? ? ? Everything listed in website, you WILL NOT RECEIVE. $125.00+ a night for a so-so room. No pool. Want our money back!!!!

This place is a drug and bug infested disgrace to the Choice Hotels chain. Upon arrival I saw a drug deal in the parking lot near the hotel entrance. Then I noticed a smell of fumigation odor in the "lobby" as I was checking in. The same odor was in the hallway to my room and in my room. Exiting the elevator onto my floor, there was a leaky ceiling that was dripping into a garbage can. Not sure what exactly was leaking since it was not raining. Needless to say, I checked out as fast as I could.

Worst hotel we have ever visited. Would have said stayed but we left immediately after checking in as we did not feel safe. Several (6 - 12) African Americans loitering by the front doors and parking lot using foul language, drinking hard liquor straight out of the bottle, setting up grill for cooking (right by the entrance). Don't know if they were quests of the hotel, but I don't think so. Lobby was filthy, room toilet seat was not secure, floor lamp shade was broken off and hanging and no covid protocols in place. Read the bad reviews as they are more than accurate. This hotel needs a TOTAL makeover and security personal to prevent loitering.

This hotel needs to be cleaned. It is filthy from the parking lot all the way up to rooms. We got our stuff and left. I want a full refund! Very disappointing. The lobby was gross, the window were covered in grime, and the floor was pure filth. The smell was absolutely horrible. We had to walk through the breakfast area to the disgusting grocery store to get service. Every table was gross with food and crumbs and spill of who knows what on it. This hotel sketchy and gross! The room was full of filth. I don't think the carper has been vacuumed in months. There was a pile of beetle bugs along the back wall. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned since it was used last and the pillows were yellow stained and appeared to be soiled. We got out as quick as we could. I want a FULL refund.

Very friendly service and staff. Wonderful view of downtown Sheboygan great view of the U.S. Bank building. Four floors is terrific. Rates are very good prices. Rooms for the most part clean. Bathroom shower was a little down with the plug not really sticking into place.

We just moved to the Sheboygan south side and discovered Limelight. Have been twice and great experience both times. Fabulous change to have music streaming and excellent food to boot. We will be regulars

Tasty food and great selection of drinks in this jazz/blues hangout! Consistent live music lineup - our own neighborhood juke joint! Cheers to Roman for giving Sheboygan a wonderful place to hang out and escape the craziness of reality!
